We stayed at Family Inn Saiko with our 11 and12 year old children and found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was basic but clean and comfortable. We particularly liked the suburban setting and the walk through the local streets to and from the train station was a definite highlight for us. We are looking forward...

We stayed here, because my very favourite family ryokan in Ueon, Sawanoya, was not available. Perhaps Saiko does not quite compare for charm or location (I love Ueno, and Saiko is a little more remote), but this is excellent value for money and extremely friendly. Breakfast is perfectly fine, rooms spotless, the ohuro very nice if not like a hot...

My husband and I stayed at Family Inn Saiko for 4 nights and we had a great time. We were particularly impressed with the excellent service offered by the friendly staff. It is a fairly small business in a nice quiet neighborhood so they are very attentive to all their guests. They take a sincere interest in your travel experience...

The staff were polite and helpful and gave us plenty of travel tips. The location was remote (which we knew before coming but based on positive reviews, we overlooked). Rooms were clean and basic (ours did not have curtains or shutters so we were woken early by the light).

We had a very nice stay. Saiko is located on a quiet street in a quiet, very walkable neighbourhood. Easy enough to stay just in the neighbourhood, but quick access to the train and subway if you need it. Tidy, well run, very comfortable, with lots of excellent restaurant and local "pub" choices. We'd be very happy to stay again.

My brother and I stayed for 3 nights at Family Inn Saiko during our visit to Japan. The B&B was quick to respond to emails and gave us many useful links to plan our visit to Tokyo. They also gave us thorough and detailed instructions on how to get to the hotel - the instructions for the taxi driver was...

Staying at Family Inn Saiko was a great choice! The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and it is located near many restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. Their shower pressure and aircon was fantastic after returning from a long day. Also, I highly recommend booking their free kimono fitting with oba-san, as it was one of the highlights of...

“They will likely assign the rooms. But this is a good place to stay after trying other Ryokans out. Very clean (like most Ryokans) but the in-room bathroom adds to comfort and convenience. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, but is still close to major subway stations and has a lot of delicious food.”
