We stayed 3 nights there during the golden week period in Japan. It's a small nice and cozy family run hotel with great hospitality especially the host Hiroshima-San. He's really friendly, helpful and service minded. We found in some reviews that the place was a bit far from train/metro station but when we were familiar with the area, we felt...

Family Inn Saiko is just that - a family inn. A traditional ryokan on the outer edge of Tokyo. The staff are warm and inviting and helped with dinner reservations and sight-seeing. The walk to the subway station is about 15 minutes through a cute neighborhood - it was nice in the morning, wished it was shorter in the evening....

This was our second stay at the Family Saiko Inn, and like the first time, it was great. We came during the Golden Week which limited our options. We requested two rooms for three guests, but only one rooms was available. Communication was great. I mostly communicated with Nicholas-san via email prior to our trip and he was very responsive...

The staff at this place are just the best. Of course the rooms are also spotless and the location great: easy access to the station and in a cute neighbourhood. Mr Masa and Nicholas are heroes. We received such a warm welcome on a cold morning! And each of them went so far above and beyond to help us to...

We chose the Family Inn based on the positive reviews on TripAdvisor and found the whole experience excellent. We were welcomed by a middle aged gent and he did his best with limited English to explain how things worked, reception opening times and standard rules e.g. not wearing shoes in the traditional rooms. He also gave us green tea while...

I am so glad that through some magic of algorithms, tripadvisor sent me a rec for the Family Inn Saito - it was *exactly* what I wanted from our final six days of Japan. It's ten minute walk from the nearest train station through a neighbourhood, so not exactly central, and I had been worried that this would mean a...

We stayed in Family Inn Saiko in September 2014, but still today is an enjoyable memory. The staff ( tthe family!) is helpful and easygoing, the location tidy and immaculately kept, the view and the basin empty of hot water at the last floor so relaxing. Prices very convenient, only a bit far from circular line of Tube

Most of our Japan trip was spent in Kyoto but the first and last days were spent in Tokyo. Had we known about this inn sooner I should have booked this for 2 nights instead of one. Nicholas was very helpful even before booking our reservations. Although the map may seem complex, it's actually pretty easy and close to the...

A pearl located conveniently near Ikebukuro station (10 min walk and one station train or 15 min walk), one of the main transport hubs in Tokyo that will let you conveniently go to all major touristic places. The price is very reasonable compared to other hotels we were looking at. The guests are wonderful, speak english, have a lot of...

“They will likely assign the rooms. But this is a good place to stay after trying other Ryokans out. Very clean (like most Ryokans) but the in-room bathroom adds to comfort and convenience. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, but is still close to major subway stations and has a lot of delicious food.”
