Stayed there for 2 nights. Loved the location of the hostel in Asakusa, only a few minutes walk from Senso-ji temple …….. Try to visit it later in the day when all the tourists have gone ! Many restaurants around. Although not close to the Yamanote Line (covered by the JR pass), the hostel is not too far from a...

The hostel was superb. Good location(near train station) and staff were awesome. They were super friendly. They even assisted with finding a suitable doctor for my wound. There's HALAL food around Asakusa area.

I only stayed here for one night, but the front desk staff were all lovely and the guest area was clean, tidy and inviting. My room was very comfortable and spacious. The location is wonderful, too. It's really convenient - close to the train station but also within walking distance to the main Asakusa temple and dining area.

Stayed here for the first 2 nights of our holiday in Japan. Great location, close to stations, shopping, great restaurants and historical sites. Very friendly and helpful staff eager to ensure all your needs are met. Our room was big enough with a comfortable bed and adequate bathroom. Great value for money. Very happy!

I stayed for two nights at K's House Tokyo Oasis, in a double private room, on my first trip to Japan. It was wonderful! From the moment I arrived I was welcomed warmly and enthusiastically (K's House, you have an absolute treasure in Tomo) with great conversation and recommendations on where to go and what to see in the neighborhood....

At the K's house Oasis Asakusa location our family of 2 adults and 2 kids had a four bed dorm. It was adequate space wise with 2 bunks with underneath storage and an ante room for storage with toilet and shower. Having two sections was great because as a family we had a bit of space and could put the...

It's in a very good location in Asakusa, bear the temples and dining and shopping area. It's very clean and kind of small which is normal in Japan. It's quite a walk to the metro station, the private Akihabara line is nearer but it's still about a 5-10 minute walk. BTW- do yourselves a favor, just take the limousine bus...

This was a lovely, fun but family-friendly hostel with the most lovely, enthusiastic and welcoming staff. The communal facilities and areas were great, the complimentary coffee and iced tea were so welcome, everything was spotlessly clean and the location was fantastic. My husband hired a bike nearby and had a great time cycling around the local area (Asakusa), Ueno, Akihabara...

Staying in Ueno, Asakusa

Neighbourhood Profile
Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa. Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit a variety of different museums and galleries. At Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at the end of the year, when many people go on shopping sprees. The town of Asakusa, developed around Sensoji temple, has many shops selling goods and clothing from old Japan, making it a great place for souvenir hunting. It's also known for various annual festivals, and the whole district gets involved with the huge Sanja Festival in May.
