Popped in here for a pint and a bite to eat - great location in a lovely place; service was excellent and food was well presented and tasty. Drinks and food all reasonably priced and the place was busy.

fish n chips at the pier lovely went about 2pm very busy but didn't have to wait long beautifully presented fish was lovely really crispy but not too much batter chunky chips and peas washed down with a shandy. The pier is one of my favourites although busy it's not too noisey staff are all very pleasant

We had lunch in the restaurant with elderly parents Friday a fortnight ago. Middle of the road, well yes. The herring milt starter was nice enough, but did it need a garlicky dressing - no. The skate was a bit overcooked and greasy, the beans had been re-heated once too often. The ice cream had been left to melt, and...

Have to say that the hostess was curt, uncompromising and outright rude when asked if we could use the dining room 15 minutes before the official opening for a family celebration of my sister's birthday. There is zero excuse for this level of rudeness. I would not recommend eating here.

We hired the small bar for an evening in order to have a school reunion. We also ordered a buffet from the selection. Some people came long distance and booked overnight accommodation also at The Pier. The venue was lovely and the buffet went beyond expectations and was plentiful. Staff were friendly, professional and went beyond the call of duty...

Arrived to be greeted and treated amazingly by the ever so nice receptionist. On arrival, upon surprise we were upgraded to a double superior for free!! The room had a balcony which overlooked With a sea view and the sun shining through the bedroom. Bed could have been more firm as was like a sponge with no supportive firmness. Bathroom...

I like Gorleston, it's compact and of a human scale. There's hotels, a theatre, various cafe's, a chippy, an ice cream place, a chinese takeaway, a large beach etc., etc. Called in here for breakfast and we sat outside as we had a dog with us. My friend had scrambled egg on toast which she said was very nice and...

Popped in for lunch and a pint. Both were good, with staff welcoming and helpful. We ate from the bar menu which had both snacks and main meals available. Drink prices were also at the lower end of the scale. We have eaten here before and have never been disappointed.

Had lunch at the Pier Hotel twice in the last month Feb-May in Gorleston on sea and both occasions were very pleasant. The hotel has recently undergone a total refurb by well known local businessmen that have been in the business many years and is a very nice hotel. The bars and restaurant are open to the public and are...
