We visited the Hotel Le Saint Nicolas for a 2 days stay in an industrial site 30 minutes from Bar sur Aube. My camera was in the internal "dependance" by the pool. Weather was too cold to profit from the pool. Room were spacious, but a bit too cold at night (stay during end of September). Breakfast was satisfactory. Very...

We had a very pleasant room in the courtyard. It was nice and spacious and clean. The room was suitable for a disabled person so the bathroom was HUGE and well appointed - almost like a wet-room which we didn't mind. The wall heater blowing hot air whilst washing hands, drying hair, etc. was great as was the lighted magnifying...

we found this a welcome break after a long drive. Clean and comfortable room with a good breakfast. Good central location but Bar sur Aube is not somewhere you go to for a long break. The hotel was diifficult to find in the dark and had no parking but there was plenty of street parking nearby.

on a wonderful visit in Colombey les 2 Eglises, which was fully booked in August 2013, we were looking for alternative accommodation in the area, where there is very little else. We had to give Credit Card No on the phone to secure booking but could not come before 7pm to see bedroom. when we finally arrived, finding the town...

A basic modern motel type hotel, built behind an old frontage. The room was very basic, but the bed was very comfortable. There was a small swimming pool, completely surrounded by buildings and as such looked decidedly un welcoming. To sum up its an ok overnight stop, located in a rather bland unassuming village with little to recommend it. If...

Comfortable hotel even with a small swimming pool (the weather was cold and rainy). Must be exellent in summer. The rooms were quiet and very comfortable, large bed, good pillow. Friendly receptionist who helped very good with finding a restaurant for dinner(see review of Le Jardin des délices). He gave us a map of the region, concerning champagne. Good and...

We arrived after a really tiring drive north, with terrible weather and many road problems. It was still pouring on our arrival, and having problems finding the way in to the hotel was not what I needed! Along with a couple who arrived at the same time, we parked nearby on the road and found our way through the big...

Clean room - if slightly dated. Tasty breakfast available although in a dindgey room. Pool would have been nice if the weather was kinder to us. Receptionist helpful if a bit quiet and odd! Ok for a stop-over - but not quite as nice as it could be.

“Choose a room facing into courtyard, on the ground floor - cooler. Don't choose a room with windows into the street as it may be noisy.”

“Ask for a room with view on the pool.”

“I had asked for a quiet room, having read an earlier review. However, I can't imagine any of the rooms being noisy, as they are behind a row of buildings away from the road. Our room could sleep 3, so was good for a family.”
