The facilities, food and game drives were excellent. Our cottage was spacious, clean and comfortable. Everyone worked hard to accommodate our trip to see African animals and Botswana. A once in a lifetime fetime experience.

Lebala camp is located in a beautiful game reserve. Wildlife is all around you. The game drives were everything we hoped they would be. All the stories you read on these reviews about animals around the camp and amazing things spotted on game drives are all true. Our guide, Hobs, was a wealth of knowledge. He and our tracker, Narco,...

I can compare Lebala to 3 other camps in Botswana we visited during our vacation. This camp would be a great camp but it needs an improvement to be done to the bungalows. It has good animal population and beautiful concession. Guides are great. Excellent food and great team of camp employees. Maybe owners should add a dedicated full time...

We visited Lebala after 3 nights at sister camp Kwara. Lebala' accommodations are excellent though not as luxurious as camps I've been to on prior safaris. I don't mean to say the camp isn't great it's just that I've been lucky enough to experience safari in camps as nice as some fine hotels. Our cabin had a nice view of...

Lebala was the highlight of a 3 week stay and 6 lodge trip in Botswana. The staff absolutely make their lodge special. From the evening singing, the guiding, the personal attention, the fun, to the help shopping in the little store these wonderful people created a warm and unique atmosphere. The guide with a tracker up front was a feature...

This is a wilderness area and we visited at a low point in the season - so, aside from one other couple and the staff we were the only people there. The staff were very attentive - although they would have been anyway we think. Our lodge was very good and the food excellent. There was an abundance of animals...

We chose both this camp and Lagoon with the hope of seeing African Wild Dogs, we achieved this on the second drive on our first of two night stay, our guide Hopps was fantastic, not only a character but really informative throughout. The camp itself is very remote, the lodges are lovely tented style with outdoor showers and a bath,...

I'll preface this by saying I've stayed in numerous lodges in southern Africa, so have some comparative experience of the types of accommodation available. In many ways, this is a nice camp with much to recommend it: the communal areas are spacious and comfortable and there is an all inclusive self-service bar and tea/coffee station that is available at all...

We stayed for 2 nights at the Kwando Lebala Camp on the Moremi-Kwando Concession in Botswana in August 2016. The accommodation was very good (including elephants coming through the camp!) and the guides who took us out to see a real variety of wild animals at very close quarters were excellent. The camp has only 8 spacious en-suite "tents" with...

We were more than thrilled to have our guide Bali and tracker Obzar drive us along as the dogs hunted, raced, drank from a well, rested, and socialized. This observation was over a good hour and a half. The next day we spent another hour or more observing 13 pups at the den. The adults returned to the den and...

'Intimate' and 'personal' are core Kwando Safaris values. The vast wilderness areas in which our camps are located are known for their remoteness and high quality wilderness experience. With the intoxicating sunsets, tranquillity and endless horizons, most people are reluctant to leave! In order for a camp to be included in the Kwando Safaris circuit, it must have the following characteristics: • Intimate and personal - no more than 18 guests per camp • Allow the sounds of nature to dominate • Be managed by experienced and talented citizens of Botswana with motivated and caring staff • Embody the unique Kwando 'Guide and Tracker experience' • Be staffed with guides with the experience and personalities to ensure that no activity is dull! • Limit each game drive vehicle to a maximum of six guests • Have structures that are semi permanent ensuring minimal impact on the environment • Demonstrate environmental best practices in daily operations including the use of renewable energy sources ... more   less
