We were a party of 10 for dinner and the food was just wonderful. The lasagne was freshly cooked and very tasty, the home made burger was delicious and the gammon steaks were thick and juicy. We loved our meal and felt it was great value for money. More than pub grub. Thanks, Tomas.

Enjoyed a lovely meal in the Liddesdale Hotel restaurant about two weeks ago, so good we went back the following evening as we were staying in the area. Thomas and the owner and his staff really look after you. The pan fried salmon was wonderful. Food was reasonably priced and delicious and this place was suitable for couple and families.

Very nice bar, friendly staff and warm and very cosy, children welcome. Never got a chance to sample menu as opening hours not very sociable. Not open during the day if no one booked in so couldn't just turn up. Nice for a drink

We arrived slightly earlier than planned but the staff were wonderfully accommodating. The food was lovely, the chef came out to talk to us about the specials. All served really quickly and really tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive and it was really good value for money.

My wife and I showed up unannounced on 2 October and had a fantastic dining experience. We had a friendly welcome from the bar steward who said that the chef would come and tell us about the specials. The personal touch was to the fore. The chef was charming and offered an extensive choice. I had the roast pork with...

We went there with friends for an evening meal and we all enjoyed it. We did have to wait a little while because it was very busy but the atmosphere was amenable. Towards the end of our meal the chef came through to find out if we enjoyed our food - a nice touch I thought.

We were in Newcastleton for the music festival and Copshaw Common Riding weekend. The whole village was busy with festival goers so we decided to eat out on the Thursday before it got really busy and the pub was working on a reduced menu. We both had the steak and ale pie. It was really tasty, piping hot and came...

This place was recommended to us so we thought we would give it a go. We didn't expect much as the venue itself is a little dated, however the food was amazing, had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend.

Tomas, the chef is very friendly & helpful & his food excellent. All six of us ate well with not one complaint. Loved the home-made steak & ale pie. We even got a lovely glass of Polish liqueur at the end. How nice is that? Would highly recommend.
