Rooms are spacious with very large beds & bathrooms. Was unaware it was a dog friendly hotel until we checked in to our room next to a yelping and howling dog. I immediately rang reception and within minutes they moved us to another room on a floor where no dogs were staying.

Excellent experience, staff, rooms and food. West restaurant is something you should not miss. Pins Gastro Pub has an amazing menu and great selection of drinks. Overall, the staff throughout the hotel are amazing. Rooms ore really great and all the amenities are first class

We had a very nice 3 night stay at The Twelve as part of our Southern Ireland driving tour. Great location and exceptional hotel. Barna was a convenient location for our trip to Inishmor via the ferry at Rossaveel.

I spent a night there. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Location: way out. Not much to see around it, Parking: easy in the basement. Very helpful on the snowy day! Room: large and spacious. A nice welcome pastry. Very nice bathroom with interesting night lights. Restaurant: limited dinner menu but good food and helpful staff. Buffet included eggs to order. Staff: pleasant and helpful. Recommendation: great hotel if you don’t mind the location.

My husband and I spent one night in The Twelve in early January. It was most disappointing to say the least. It was for a combination of celebrations- our wedding anniversary, my 40th birthday and it was also our baby moon as we are due a baby in early April. I knew that the hotel does pull out al the stops for their customers but when I saw what had been left in our room as a welcome, it was very disappointing. Two muffins wrapped in plastic. And a card. We went to the bar and had a couple of drinks- I had non alcoholic wine and my husband had a few pints. Dinner was nice in the bar. The restaurant wasn’t open. Once dinner was over we moved to what we thought was a more comfortable seat with the intention of having a few drinks but the cold in the bar area was shocking. Sad to say we were in bed and asleep by 21:30 due to the cold. The Twelve Hotel had been on my list of places to go and I was delighted when we booked it for such a special occasion. Dear Galwaygirl Thank you for taking the time to place a review on The Twelve and for your feedback which I have taken on board. Thank you for your compliments on my team and for joining us for your celebrations. I am sorry we got some things wrong. The welcome plate we did for you was outside of what we normally make as it was made specially as gluten free. West restaurant is always closed on Monday and Tuesday nights. It is has been their days off since we opened and is explained everywhere. i will try to make this more visible but it has never been an issue as The Pins GastroBar is excellent in its own right. I am really sorry you were disappointed. Our goal is always to exceed expectations as you pointed out. I would hope you give us the opportunity of doing so again at some point. It all started before I entered this beautiful hotel. Booked a 2 night stay for my mother in laws big birthday weeken. Our booking was looked after by Aine! Aine could not do enough for us as there were changes to our booking several times! She took everything in her stride and so professional! When we arrived it was seemless from the welcome to the beautiful rooms and friendly service throughout! Smiles everywhere you go! Very experienced bar restaurant and accommodation teams.. they knew every aspect of the hotel and nothing was above or beyond! Thank you so much Aine and team for making my families weekend so very special! The West is a must if you love your fine dining.

We stayed in this hotel on Sunday night. It was the best experience we've had in hotels , from the very welcoming reception to the wait staff and the bar staff. Breakfast was really tasty and served with a smile. We will return.

We had a really lovely weekend, staff were really friendly and helpful. Wined and dined in the West & great breakfast the next day. The weekend was topped off with a fab yoga class with Aoife @SYNChealthandwellness just 1 minute walk away.

Just returned from a lovely one night stay. The lady in reception, Manon, was extremely helpful in sourcing another hotel for us when their hotel was having plumbing issues. She then upgraded us to a luxury suite which was beautiful. The hotel is very nice and all the staff were very helpful and friendly
