It's a 5 star inn (not a 5 star hotel - there's a significant difference) and absolutely lives up to that billing - very comfortable room, great service, gorgeous gardens leading to the river (more of a stream really), very tasty breakfast (though weirdly my one slice of black pudding was only half a slice?!), great little pub bar. It's...

Lovely hotel, great service and rooms, however very poor soundproofing between outside cottage style rooms, which resulted in being able to clearly hear the guest in the room above. Disappointing, as otherwise the hotel was excellent and in a stunning location.

Came to stay at The Slaughters for the bank holiday weekend (didn't realise it was bank holiday when I booked!) arrived Friday early afternoon. (Check in isn't until 3pm, which I feel is rather a late time to check in, 1pm would be good) And left at 11am on Sunday. Price was £500 including breakfast. On arrival we were abit...

We stayed for two nights here and it was fantastic. The room we had was up three flights of stairs, but worth it once we got there. I would not recommend this room for anyone with knee problems, as it's a winding, low ceiling stairway. (The building is really old, so understandable). The room was more than adequate with a...

What a very pretty village and a delightful hotel to stay at :-) My wife, myself and 10 year old son stayed for 2 nights whilst attending the cotswolds "Feastival". The first night was not the perfect night with a water pump going off every 2 minutes ( the villers room ) , which left my wife totally exhausted the...

I was treated to an evening at this restaurant for my 60th birthday and a lovely evening was had by all. The staff were attentive, the food of a very good quality, apart from the gnocchi that was a little dry (we were not charged for the meal) the wine was spot on and the atmosphere within the restaurant was...

One of the best hotels I've stayed at in a while. Lovely location and style close to bourton on the water. Food was great. Breakfast excellent and room very nice. Right on the river. Big grounds. Excellent all round

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here...fabulous location, very nice inn, good food & beverage options, close to walks to other Cotswolds towns. Would definitely stay here again...once I've had the chance to stay at their new sister property across the street!

I love this hotel, I would definitely come back here on my next visit. Excellent food, comfortable bed, roomy. I love the bath tub experience. A little piece of heaven, slow country life. Retired couple from USA.

My partner and I stayed here for one night for his birthday. The hotel and it's surroundings were stunning! The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable. The food was lovely but there wasn't much choice on the menu, especially for vegetarians. Other than the fire alarm going off in the early hours (at least we know...
