Just a two-night stay in one of the cottages, Lonsdale. Good facilities and very comfortable. Sitting room downstairs, bed and bathroom upstairs. Lovely comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. Minor irritation with the wardrobe being downstairs in the sitting room, so inconvenient when dressing. Easily solved by putting a short hanging rail somewhere upstairs. Similarly, kettle and tea/coffee supplies downstairs, meaning...

After weeks of looking at suitable, local hotels, for my wedding anniversary, i decided to book the Slaughters inn. The hotel had even pre-agreed to make a special evening meal for my wife (hunters chicken) as she is quite fussy with what she will eat, and the menu here is very complicated. I may not be the most educated person...

Stayed with my pregnant wife and 2 year old. Had booked a junior suite but was upgraded to a cottage for free. Cottage is nice, but practically we didn't use the downstairs at all as we toured during the day and just slept in it. Location is fantastic. Really picturesque. Breakfast was nice.

Stayed just after New Year 2016. Stayed in The South Lawn room (more like a cottage outside) Fabulous wet room but the main bathroom with roll top bath was a highlight. The main bedroom was huge and what a big comfortable bed. The setting for the Inn is so picture postcard, beautiful and the bar is a real old country...

This hotel has such a lovely location and attractive buildings that expectations were high. From the initial attempts to book 2 night's dinner bed and breakfast, the receptionists struggled to secure the reservation, the promised return confirmation call was not received and shortly after I chased this, I received an email from the hotel asking how our stay had been...

Lovely hotel, rooms large and clean. Bed very comfortable has great nights sleep (also black out blinds which always a bonus). Buildings are beautiful and service/food at breakfast was excellent. Lovely area around the hotel as well. Stayed for a wedding and wished could have spent more time at the hotel and surrounding area.
