Before we ended at Daniel's we have compared all places of the eastern side of Bunaken. The prices on the island are way higher than on the rest of Sulawesi. The only other budget friendly place was Jonaths cottages but Daniels seemed better to us. The bungalows were basic but equipped with mosquito net and fan. The garden is well...

Eat, Dives, Eat, Nap, Eat, Drink, Sing, Sleep, Repeat The cottage was nice with mosquito nets and a fan. However, since the island have minimum electricity, there will be no electricity most of the time during the day, hence it's a bit hard to take a nap because of the heat. BUT there's a comfortable hammock and island hut near...

Place is not too bad. My group has a bunch of fun walking around the island, playing ping pong, snorkeling, etc. However, we started hanging out with a Swedish guy that still owed the resort for his previous stay. Swedish guy was scheduled to leave the same day as my group, and let's just say that the staff became significantly...

I am sorry to come to that decision to warn future potential customers regarding staying there. I arrived in great health after several weeks of travelling in Asia. But after I consumed a fish for lunch at the restaurant, I got a fish poising the next day and had to stay in bed with a terrible diarrhea. Two days later...

We didn't feel welcome at all... I went diving and they didn't ask about my diving license. The dive was very badly organised, no Buddy check or something similar. I decidid not to do the second dive. No one cared about us, thats why we changed the place to stay. The room was falling apart. A very disappointing experience.

The bungalows are simple but comfortable with moskito net and fan. There are 3 meals a day included, good but roughly the same every day. Unfortunately the electricity is often off in the afternoon so no fan and no WIFI but the snorkelling in front of the guesthouse is very good and the diving was pretty cool too. When I...

Stayed in this resort after picking one randomly arriving on Bunaken island. At the first glance, bungalows looked welcoming, with mosquito protected beds, fancy wooden deck and welcoming staff. Unfortunately, by looking closer, the bungalows are falling apart, the wall of our bathroom was heavily cracked, allowing us to see the outside while having a shower... Termites were everywhere in...

Nice beach with opening to the sea in mangrove-protected beach. Basic bungalows with brackish shower and large plastic tub for water storage. Sit-down toilet. Big single bed with mosquito net. Fan-cooled rooms. Attractive grounds. 3 healthy meals a day included. Good diving under Felix with 14+ years of experience and handy with diving gear maintainance. Knows every life form in...

I stayed and dived with Daniels for several weeks. The staff are great, especially the dive crew. Really laid back, but informative and know the right spots. The food was always great, with healthy choices. Really great bargain.
