We stayed for a long weekend in a Pet Free cabin, there had been a stray cat in the cabin from the previous guests before us (as we had found cat toys and the cat continuously visited the cabin) as admitted on emails from the site manager. The cabin had not been fully cleaned before our arrival as we found...

First time for us and we really had a relaxing time. We were in The Meadow - cabin 82 and we couldn't fault it. The cabin was in the final row which backed onto the forest and was very peaceful. When we were in our hot tub it was very private and not overlooked. The customer service was really great and...

This 4 night break was booked for us by our daughter who has been here twice, on arrival check in was very quick, the cabin was bigger than we expected, it was very clean and nicely laid out, the hot tub was used a lot after the bike rides and walks. We were in the meadow and didn't really mind...

Well equipped cabins of high quality. You are at the start of some great walks. The Forest Retreat is well equipped and the staff were excellent. Our highlight here was meeting Professor, a barn owl. He is georgous.

This was first stay in The Forest Of Dean. We were a family group. ARRIVAL- We arrived too early but managed to park up, check which cabins we would be occupying, find out when they were ready and then off to explore whilst we waited. Pleasant and helpful staff in the reception. SILVER BIRCH CABIN-located in the meadow rather than...

Thank you for your review. Please accept our apologies for the mix-up over your cabin location. Our team on the ground are empowered to make changes such as this but it looked as if there were no woodland cabins available on the system for the full 7 days of your stay. We are very sorry that the cabin wasn’t as...

We had a forest cabin - pre booked on line and checked in on line, we prefer to stay in the forest and have the wildlife at our cabin and say many birds eating the food we left (along with the squirrels), wild deer just outside the cabin and very briefly two wild boar. Check in as always quick and...

great cabin with hot tub, well furnished and equipped. Location in woodland better than ones in meadow. Friendly staff, small shop on site, cycle hire, ranger activities none of which we used. Location great for visiting forest of dean, lots of walks and pubs, good one at Symonds Yat-about a hour walk

Just got back from our cabin holiday in the woods, stayed in cabin 71, which is a 1 bedroom. On arival we were amazed at how much space there was in the cabin. The only problem we found was the bed was so uncomfortable, we had a 4 night stay and kept waking up in the night constantly and always...
