It was the cusp of the Chinese New Year. The room we planned to take (160 yuan) had a bathroom "that you, foreigners, are possibly not used to", according to the reception staff. As a result, we got a lofty and clean room at 174 yuan. Everything was new; and I liked the kang (elevation with the huge bed and side tables). Needless to say, the bathroom was stellar. Internet was plugged in for an additional 10 yuan.
Every restaurant in the neighborhood was closed, so we ate at the hotel restaurant. Original menu prices were mid-range; that night they served dishes from a special festive menu, which still ended up cheap. Good food.
I'd say, this is an excellent hotel for such a forgettable town as Kaiping, where you'd only stop on your way to those crazy and wonderful leaning towers. It's a quick cab ride to the bus station. Staff didn't speak English.

Preis Leistung perfekt. Leider nur chinesisch sprechendes Personal, mit Translate-Programm aber trotzdem möglich. Sehr hilfsbereiter, freundliches Personal. Vom Service das beste Personal, welches wir auf unserer vierwöchigen Chinareise erlebt haben. Privaten Trip zu vernünftigen Preis organisiert. Personal hat sich Zeit genommen, obwohl die Verständigung nicht ganz einfach war. Gutes Restaurant. Sehr saubere Zimmer.
