We stayed at this resort for 1 night before heading deeper into the rainforest on our tour, I got the impression a lot of other guests were doing the same. It’s a lovely resort, nice communal area where you have your meals with views over the forest. The rooms were spread out around the resort so very private but it was quite a lengthy walk round to ours in the stifling heat of the day, our luggage was taken by vehicle though. The rooms are quite basic but have everything you need and we were happy with this for a short layover but couldn’t see ourselves staying here for much longer. Food was very good and staff all friendly. Just down the road from the sanctuaries too and the airport which was super handy.

A great location to explore the area and a lovely hotel with an amazing team of staff who were all friendly, welcoming. The food served was lovely and the stay was perfect for my wife and I. We could not have asked for more and would definitely stay again the next time we’re in the area.

A fantastic start to our family Borneo trip. Only 15 mins from the airport (and very cheap transfer using Grab) this resort was beautifully integrated into the jungle and we stayed for 3 nights. We had a family cabin with a double and single bed and it had a seating area too. The bathroom was quite “rustic” but you are in the jungle after all! The resort arranged a mangrove firefly trip for us which is definitely recommended and a very good price. We visited the orangutang sanctuary (10 mins walk), the sun-bears (opposite orangutang), Discovery Centre (5 mins by Grab) and the Proboscis monkeys in Labuk Bay - this is a 25 min drive away so you can get a Grab (although we heard it was sometimes tricky to get a Grab back) so we opted for the hotel to sort out the trip where the…

We spent four nights here in a small cabin perched on stilts in the jungle. Even had a fruit bat roosting in our porch! The staff couldn't have done more for us, the food was excellent, and we were guided throughout in choosing the best places to go. Well worth the effort of getting there.

I don’t give 5 star reviews easily, but what a fantastic place to spend a couple of nights. Chalets have air conditioning and also electric mozzie zappers. Whilst chalets have a hot shower inside, the outdoor shower is brilliant… why on earth anyone would want a hot shower in this climate I have no idea! 🤷♂️ WiFi is only available in the restaurant area but that’s no big issue. The staff are all really lovely and very helpful. The food was fab and there is a surprisingly good wine list!! The orangutan sanctuary is a 10-15min walk.

Had a wonderful time here. Although the property looks slightly run down, the general restaurant and main gathering area is lovely. The staff are delightful and the food - cooked to order - is excellent.

Our first night on mainland Borneo and the Forest Edge resort didn’t disappoint. We were warmly welcomed by all the staff and felt immediately immersed into forest life. The grounds were beautiful, the deluxe lodge more than sufficient for one night - AC, modern shower, mosquito nets etc The food at dinner was quite possibly the best we had in our fortnights stay on the island, the local forest fern was a revelation! Drinks were good too! If you are visiting Sepilok, we would have no hesitation in recommending this lodge.

We stayed 2 nights in a deluxe chalet which has a lovely setting looking into the rainforest. The restaurant was really excellent (some of the best food we had in Borneo) and the staff excellent. The location is perfect next to the Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre.
