I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Sepilok Forest Edge Resort. Check-in was quick and easy. My room was quiet, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The food was delicious 😋. The staff was nice and very accommodating. The location was great as well it was walking distance to the Orangutan Sanctuary and Sun Bear Center. It was such a relaxing place to stay.

We stayed 2 nights in a deluxe chalet which has a lovely setting looking into the rainforest. The restaurant was really excellent (some of the best food we had in Borneo) and the staff excellent. The location is perfect next to the Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sepilok Forest edge resort and would highly recommend! The staff are super friendly and accommodating, the food in the restaurant is great, the rooms are spotless, beds comfy and the aircon works perfectly!! There are some lovely dogs and cats around the resort who we loved, the staff are kind to them which we really liked. We saw lots of wildlife around and the scenery is just beautiful. Highly recommend to anyone who loves wildlife and animals like us! Thank you so much forest edge!

Lovely accommodation set in beautiful grounds. Clean, tidy rooms cleaned daily. Breakfast provided daily. Restaurant on site serves excellent food and choice of drinks until late. Staff friendly and accommodating, nothing is too big an ask. Highly recommend if staying in the Sepilok area. Little hidden gem on the edge of the forest!

Incredible lodging site. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Our chalet was clean, spacious, and the deck on the back gave us mornings with Gibbons and birds all to ourselves. The staff from check in, as well as the service at the restaurant was pleasant, informative and had great knowledge of all the activities in the surrounding area. Sun Bears and orangutans exhibits are a short walk. Our most favorite part of our stay is the black dog they have on the property. We named him “bird dog” during our visit. I almost canceled the rest of my trip just to figure out how to get him back to the states. Please be kind to him. Nippers the yellow dog is sweet too, but bird dog has a human soul wrapped up in fur. I would recommend staying as a group, family, or couple. Definitely bring bug

We really enjoyed our stay at Sepilok Forest Edge. The food was good. We had no Michelin expectations. The Malay curry was really good. The drinks from the bar were made as instructed. The rooms are extremely clean. Our showers were hot. The bed is good for a person up to 6 feet tall. I’m not sure I have seen a local over 5’ 6” so it kind of makes sense that long beds may be a challenge. The restaurant staff work hard and are efficient. I would respectfully offer two recommendations 1. Extend the filtered water to the rooms. Safer to shower in filtered water. 2. Please ban the cigarette smoking near the reception area. It’s not a welcoming smell to most people.

An excellent first stop in Borneo. Very friendly and polite. Superb food, our favourite breakfast buns filled with bean paste and rolled in sesame seeds. Lovely and lunge pool to cool off in. Lots of birds to spot in the gardens. Lovely ‘shoes off’ restaurant.

Basic accommodation and extremely overpriced. No hot water. Beds are not standard length, but short. Food and drinks are also expensive as it's a captive market (most people don't drive). Sandakan is only 20minutes drive away and has cheaper accommodation and many more options.

A warm welcome by Connie on arrival and lemongrass cinnamon welcome drink. Wifi was available in the dining area only (not in any rooms). Shoes needed to be taken off every time you wanted to walk into or cross the dining room. Our room was basic with fan and air conditioning. Spotlessly clean. The bed however was “short” so my husband could not stretch out his legs at night without hitting the wooden foot of the bed. The indoor shower had only cold water (as did the outdoor shower) - despite being told the indoor shower was hot. Breakfast was basic. The menu for both food and drinks was expensive for what you got - particularly when 500m down the road is the Sepilok Nature Resort with cheaper, better quality food and no mosquitoes. There are 3 regular dogs on the

Forest rooms are well spaced out and lovely and clean and quirky. Inside and outside shower, lovely comfy bed and efficient air con. Food and drink at the verandah are nice. The location limits choice but the food is solid and tasty. Loads of drinks available. Staff are super nice and are ready to help with wild life spotting. Orang Utan and Sun Bear Sanctuary within walking distance. Would recommend going to the Nature centre up the road for the night walk.
