I loved this hotel I spent two nights here to visit the orangutans, Sunbears and rainforest. This place literally backs onto the orangutan sanctuary and sunbear conservation centre and is literally a 5-10 min walk. I had lodge number 10 and loved it. Very tranquil, good facilities, you truly felt one with nature. The grounds are AMAZiNG! There are only a few hotels in the aarea. This one is bar far the best (from reviews I read and also speaking to other people while there). There isn’t much to do outside the hotel other than the above attractions mention and therefore I ate dinner and lunch every night here. Not the best meals I’ve had but were not the worst.

Lovely room, comfortable beds, great location. Pros - almost the closest you can get of all the lodges to the orang-utan centre and the sun bear conservation, strong air con, free water in the room (in the fridge), beautiful spot. Cons - bathroom doors are saloon-style (no privacy), no pool, and slight confusion if you book through their website: listed as Sepilok Nature Lodge when it is definitely Resort (we gave our taxi driver the full and correct address and he still took us to Nature Lodge Sepilok). Check your confirmation emails! On Google Maps and on the site it's Resort but on the Dive Lankayan website (and until today on Booking.com) it's Lodge.

This hotel was fantastic setting and great for getting to the oranutangs and probiscus monkeys and Sun bears. We stayed here for four nights so we had plenty of time to do everything. The rooms are a good size and the bathrooms were very modern and clean. The breakfast was made to order and very good quality. We ate dinner in the hotel every night which was very good food and not over priced. They are extended the hotel and February and March would be noisy during the day as they are digging out a pool. We would definitely stay here again, wifi wasn’t very good in the room but i could just about get it, but very good in the main building.

A great base for exploring the area. Close to the orangutan and sun bear centre. Not far from the Rainforest Discovery centre. Large rooms in the chalets with all modern amenities. Comfy beds, good shower and air con. They serve a hearty breakfast and lovely evening dinner. It is all a la carte. Not a buffet in sight!! Also very good cocktails. Friendly and helpful staff. It was very quiet while we were there and we found it a peaceful retreat.

This was a great hotel for seeingthe orangutan’s , sun bears and Proboscis monkeys. The food in the hotel was good quality and reasonable. They are having a new part built where they are adding a pool. The WiFi was good in reception not so good in the rooms, although I found if I sat by the window I could get the WiFi. Tv reception was none existent but the jungle noises made up for that. The staff were really good and helpful. I will definitely go back here again.

Lovely tranquil spot with spacious cabins and updated baths. Excellent menu in the restaurant served quickly and efficiently. The staff here was super-accommodating and excited for us to see any wildlife, including orangutans nesting for the night. Really enjoyed our visit here.

Lovely friendly hotel with comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Ideally placed for visits to the orang utans and sun bears conservation centres. Very friendly staff and easy to reach from the airport at Sandakan . Well worth a visit if you are in the area

Nice location and surrounding. Close to nature indeed, can hear them enjoying the rain, especially the rough-sided frogs. Attractions are walking distance. Chalet/Room is large, some have upgraded bathroom with bathtub. It's a little dark at night but provides good atmosphere. TV is small/old but it has USB/HDMI, can play what you want. As it's getting old, some more maintenance could be done and sofa chair cushions could be cleaned. Staff are very nice and helpful.

Sepilok Nature Resort is in a fabulous location for the Orangutan Sanctuary and Sunbear Conservation, aswell as being a beautiful setting with the trees, and lake around the villas. The morning chorus was incredible. The staff were exceptional, even going out there way to get a camera charger I had forgotten to pack. We were also so lucky to see an Orangutan just waking up near the restaurant as we were walking for breakfast. We enjoyed the food and cocktails. To some it up..... loved every minute here.
