I picked El-Sabanero based on great reviews and can`t agree more, this place is very special. From the moment Harold picked us in airport, I knew that I am in a hands of people that truly care.I really enjoyed delicious food, prepared by Donald and yoga classes taught by wonderful teachers Hector, Amit,Amy and Tasha, but most of all I...

I just returned from six nights at El Sabanero for a yoga retreat. I had the best time. We did yoga in the morning and again late in the day and the teachers were excellent! In the middle of the day, the owners drove us to Tamarindo and Conchal beaches. One day we went to play at a waterfall. The...

I rarely write reviews on trip advisor but really felt like Kurt and the team have done so well to create a very chilled home away from home for their guests. Really loved staying here and will be back. The guys are so helpful and kind offering lifts to the beach and home, so thank you. Food was great thank...

I rarely write reviews but the El Sabanero was definitely worth it. We were rounding off a trip to Guanacaste and spent two nights in Rincon de la Veija and two nights at an all inclusive in Flamingo Beach and wanted to spend two nights at the El Sabanero Eco Lodge before we returned back to the States. First impressions...

I've ended up at this place after traveling around in Costa Rica for three weeks and I'm so glad I did! El Sabanero is the most cosy and heartwarming place. Their hospitality is very unique, and the food, the rooms and the pool area is just perfect. Everyone going to Costa Rica should plan a visit to El Sabanero!

We tried to stay here two nights but ended up leaving after one....to be fair, El Sabenero had great food with a terrific chef, Donald, and sports a nice pool. The little cabanas are sweet and ample. The road noise, however, led this traveler to a night of insomnia! Add to the non-stop road noise the barking dogs, calling roosters...

Hello Bobby, I am sorry you had a bad time at our hotel. We did have a lot of traffic at the time you where here as it was the beginning of a weekend and many travelers now use this road to get to the beaches. I am sorry Ii was not able to refund your second night but as...

Just returned from two weeks at El Sabanero, and I couldn't feel happier or more relaxed. I was there for a yoga training, but there were other guests besides our group, too, and we all got to know each other, sharing meals, laughs, walks, and yoga classes. The owners are very friendly, always stopping by at meals to say hi,...

I stayed at El Sabanero in November 2016 for a month long yoga course and I loved every minute. The lodge itself is very comfortable, with a fab swimming pool, a few chill out areas (hammock space!) and an open dining area. The food is outstanding - Donald and Hazel the chefs are so warm and generous, making tailored food...

The staff is super friendly and professional always doing their best to help. They have wonderful hammocks and long chairs to sunbathe near the pool. AMAZING food is served ,...
