Had no idea where Carhaix-Plouger was. Hadn't particularly wanted to go there. Still probably wouldn't want to go there except to stay at the absolutely delightful Manoir de Kerledan. Just five minutes out of town, this beautifully restored manor house sits waiting to welcome you. In fact , if you base yourself here for a couple of days or more,...

The Manoir is beautiful. Lovingly - and stylishly restored - by the very diligent and hospitable hosts. We have stayed in other Manoirs and Chateaux and this was as beautiful as we have ever previously experienced. Our great disappointment here was the food. We were told the menu as we were going in to dinner and about to order our...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Perfect, welcoming hosts. The only people on our trip who came out to meet us on arrival. Penny lent us her wheelbarrow to move our heavy bags! Our room and bathroom were very comfortable. The pure white bed linen was a treat beyond belief. A first in our travels. The house is really lovely,...

Penny and Peter have done an astonishing job with Kerledan, from a shell of an historic manoir with a building site outside they have with hard work over the years wrought a sensationally beautiful house and a stunning garden. They are as good at being hosts, instantly friendly, Peter and Penny effortlessly blend guests, hospitality, good food and conversation into...

Manoir de Kerledan is so chic, as the hosts Penny and Peter have such good taste. We were surrounded by exquisite accoutrements, overlaid with the undoubted charm of the hosts. But the B & B product is a bit tatty at the edges. Our mattress should have been replaced some long time ago. It was like sleeping in a crater....

Dear Andrew, Thank you for your review. I apologise for my lack of attention to detail but with the preparations for our daughters wedding here at Kerledan this last weekend, my mind was often distracted. If only you had mentioned your dissatisfaction with our hospitality and facilities such as the wifi, I discovered the extender had been removed from the...

Manoir de Kerledan was an early stopover for my husband and I as we cycled on La Velodyssee from Roscoff to Biarritz recently. What a find! Le Manoir is absolutely stunning, both inside and out and Penny and Peter are wonderful hosts. We shared their stylish home and enjoyed Penny's excellent cooking, fruits and vegetables grown by Peter in their amazing...

We stayed in a cozy room in this wonderful manor, decorated with exquisite taste by the owners. From the warm welcome, over the excellent dinner with vegetables from their own garden to the impressive architecture everything was absolutely perfect. I can only highly recommend this for a place to stay, realx, feel welcome and meet interesting people.

Our stay with three other couples right at the end of the season this year was absolutely wonderful. Peter and Penny did a fantastic job feeding and looking after us all. All the meals were of a very high standard and delicious, breakfast was a particular treat with freshly made fruit compote and muesli, cheese and meats. Coffee and tea...

My husband and I are discerning and experienced travellers so we were very pleased with our four night stay at Manoir de Kerledan. Our hosts Peter and Penny were particularly gracious and have done an amazing job transforming a rundown manor in to Manoir de Kerledan with their own hands and grit! I would highly recommend the larger Coatgourdan room...

We were lucky enough to stay for five nights. Our room was beautiful and we looked out over the garden. Penny and Peter are warm and hospitable without being intrusive. Penny is a fantastic cook and the breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. Her dinners were top class. They have a good knowledge of the area and their advice was well...
