Fantastic hotel and good price, staff were really lovely and so helpful. Room was very clean and looked great, plenty of hot water, tea and coffee and extras. Breakfast was great and a lovely pot of tea. Good position for Brixham and Paignton and also the steam railway as the station is right outside. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We stayed at the Weary Ploughman for 2 nights. After a warm welcome we were shown to Room No 3, overlooking the steam railway station. The room was spacious, very clean with a very nice recently updated on suite bathroom. The bedroom had the largest ceiling fan I had ever seen! I think it was from a Lancaster bomber! the bed...

Dear Robert M, Thank you for your comprehensive and very positive review, its very much appreciated. You are absolutely right about the Wifi issues - I remember we chatted about it during your stay and I expressed my deep frustration with some current contracts!! - we have a plan! What a wonderful place, every member of staff I met and spoke to could not be nicer, checked in and shown to my room which over looked a steam train station, but no noise at all from that lovely big room and the softest bed. Fantastic restaurant downstairs Very clean bedding and the room was spotless.

We've eaten here many times before and never had a bad meal. We used to live in Brixham but moved back to London four years ago so this is our first stay. The greeting was very friendly and checking in was a breeze. We were given all information needed and offers of help with luggage or anything else required. The...

Although very busy,James did find availability for us at short notice and we were so glad he did.As we had visited before we knew what to expect, first class food ,accomodation and service and we were not disappointed.A big plus for us,being of a certain age,was the fact that there was a Brixham to Newton Abbot, via Paignton and Torquay bus service...

This is a really nice hotel, with all modern amenities. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was clean and tidy. Plenty of parking onsite. The restaurant does need to be booked separately to the hotel as it does get rather busy. The food is absolutely brilliant and is served by a team of friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely visit...

Room was a good size and peaceful. Plenty of supportive pillows, bed comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities plentiful and fresh milk available - just ask. Powerful shower and bathroom amenities. Very good value. Breakfast very good too as were our meals in the restaurant both evenings. It is a very busy restaurant so you may have a wait for food...

Great hotel. The room was a decent size with a king-size bed. Staff went above the standard expected. We even had a knock at our door to say last food orders being taken which is just an example of hoe friendly the staff are. Food was tasty and of decent standard. Only down side was the room and restaurant felt...
