We walked into the bar where there were several empty tables. A waitress asked if there was anything she could do for us but in the sort of voice that suggested we shouldn't even be there. We asked if there was a table for 2 available in the bar. Without a word she walked away from us so, assuming she...

Dear 220Jan_D Thank you for taking the time to review us – though obviously I am not entirely happy with your comments. That being said psychologists do say that that the greatest amount of unhappiness comes from expectation not being fulfilled. If you expect life to be awful, you aren’t that unhappy when you’re proved to be right. This from...

Stayed for four nights. Could not complain about a single thing! Rooms were clean and adequate. Bathroom was a little small but clean and lovely hot water! The restaurant was always very busy and the food was above average. Staff were very amicable. Totally mislead by the name as thought we would be staying in an Inn, it's a restaurant...

Not surprised to be told that this pub with rooms is on 98 percent occupancy. Very welcoming staff and friendly service throughout. Rooms clean and comfortable, even my cot bed! They were fully booked but added a cot for me and just charged an extra fiver, which included a very superior quality cooked breakfast and first rate coffee. A real...

Had two wonderful meals here. All freshly made and locally sourced. The mussels in cider with bacon was particularly delicious. Staff very friendly, best to book because it gets full very quickly! Loved the location right next to Churston Station and the steam train that takes you along the coast.
