The new owners have invested some serious time, effort and money in this place. We visited one Saturday lunchtime and were fortunate to enjoy sitting outside in the sunshine. The owner overheard us at the bar asking about the menu and if they were serving bar food. He bought us over a menu and when we had settled outside came...

We have visited Churston many times. It has such character and history and for the price of the rooms, well worth a stay. It seems it is under new management since we last came but the new staff seem very friendly. Nothing has been updated much since a few years ago and the outside could do with a little tidy...

It's one of those places where the atmosphere makes it worth while visiting, even before the friendly staff serve you. It's been on my 'you have to go there' list for a while now and I'm gradually introducing friends to it. Food wasn't served until noon the last time I went and that's a shame as we wanted Brunch.. but...

Very interesting, atmospheric building, Grade 2 ** listed. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. It was decorated and furnished sympathetically to the age of the Hotel. The bathroom had a roll top bath as well as a large walk-in shower. The breakfasts were excellent with cereals, dried and fresh fruits, cold meats, yoghurt and pastries as well as cooked...

This place is an oasis if you are walking between Brixham and Paignton. Beautiful old English house. The bar was amazing from the twisted beamed ceiling to the suits or armour. Staff were very friendly and the outside dining area was lovey. Definitely worth a visit.

If you like beautiful old country pub/hotels in lovely surroundings with great food, then the Churston Court (or Manor as it now calls itself) is the place for you. I was there last weekend with my husband and 4 other couples. We were made extremely welcome and shown to a large wooden table which comfortably seated all of us. The...

I stayed for one night over the bank holiday weekend, and in short, I had a wonderful time. The atmosphere in the hotel is warm, welcoming and richly historic. The halls and lounges are adorned with beautiful paintings of historical figures as well as medieval armaments - the breakfast hall in particular boasts a rather fetching suit of plate armour....

We stayed here for 2 nights and what a surprise, stunning surroundings, interior very authentic, the dining room is candle lit, the food glorious with plenty to choose from, although the chef did say if we wanted something that was not on the menu, with notice he would cook what we wanted. The owners and staff are all lovely helpful...

Choosing Churston Court to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary with a family lunch was the right decision. Our family party of 21 was treated like royalty ( see picture ). The tasteful way the room was set out and decorated brought smiles to our faces. One could not have asked for better service and the excellent, creative and varied cuisine...
