We visited yesterday for a family lunch. It's been a while since we have visited and I was aware things had changed. Had not realised how much though. And just how good those changes have been. The decor is superb. Yes it's a little dark but it felt modern and fresh as well as fitting. Loved the big tables and...

This pub has been on the map for years and was always known for the carvery. This became passé and the pub looked tired. Earlier this year it received a great renovation with the old carvery removed and replaced with both the al carte and a cafe. What a staggering difference. The food is fresh and well presented with great...

This place is an absolute jewel. We have been to their New Years Eve party 2 years on the trot now, and each time it has been the best we have ever been to. Its a very friendly country pub, so it has a much more intimate feel, and the food is divine, as it isn't mass produced as you...

Booked a couple of nights b&b for a spot of luxury after a week's self-catering, and were not disappointed. Very good meals at breakfast and evening, friendly and attentive staff, accommodation set apart from the pub but it worked well and quite comfy and clean, although the area round the shower was a bit scruffy, parking on two levels was...

stayed in the lodge accommodation for 3 nights. Very impressed. Rooms were spacious and have to say our room was spotless. Towels changed daily and tea and coffee replenished daily. Breakfasts were freshly made and very good. Had dinner on our first night and it was great! Staff were friendly and helpful and i would recommend.

This was our second visit and it was just as good as the first. Helpful staff, delicious evening meal and a slap up breakfast, all for a very reasonable price. Super handy hotel for visiting offspring at Hull university. See you again soon!

We held an 80th birthday party here and were very impressed with organisation from start to finish. Every detail was taken care of and the little suggestions Lynn made helped the party go without a hitch. As always at The Fergie the food was fabulous and all of our guests had a great time. Thank you to Lynn and all...

Now I know the title of this sounds rubbish but I honestly loved the food. The food was amazing. I ordered the soup of the day which was leek and potato, this was good as far as soup goes. I had the chicken Sunday roast for main - well this was delicious!! The chicken was half a herb rubbed chicken...
