Staying in this lodge very soon - does anyone know if it’s warm at night? Any advice of things to take? Internet and TV? And if you can check in before 5 if early. Coming with young children. Is there bedding?
When we first arrived at the Lodge (we were in Red Deer) we were at first a little disappointed as the accommodation was dated. But within a short period we were enchanted by the ever changing view , the accommodation is absolutely fine, loads of hot water and a well equipped kitchen and everything (including linen and towels) of good quality and very clean. We found staff on reception very helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the immediate area and also slightly further afield. We were very sad to leave after our week. Loch Rannoch Highland Club and the view of the Loch will live in our hearts for a very long time.
Having been visiting Loch Rannoch Highland Club for almost 20 years, my family and I have come to expect a tranquil setting that is spotless and professionally manged. Unfortunately during this visit we experienced the rapid decline in the management and provision of the club. We arrived following a 7 hour drive to find our studio had not been cleaned, presenting smeared surfaces, dead flies, coffee stained mugs and a mouldy, leaking roof. This was reported to one of the Directors of the Committee, Frances, who was in charge at that time. Despite admitting that the studio had not been cleaned as they had completely missed our booking from the system, it took over two days for clean bedding and towels to be left at the studio, despite us explaining we had a 4 year old child and would expect the highest levels of cleanliness considering the current international pandemic. Despite numerous phone calls throughout the week, the studio was never cleaned during the entirety of our staff. We left on the 28th August, having spoken with Frances on the 24th at which time she promised a resolution and to be in touch. As yet, we have yet to hear anything despite calling to speak with her twice. Extremely disappointed and saddened by our experience that remains ongoing.…
The scenery simply takes your breath away , the walks are stunning from 4 miles to a Munro. The lodge was superb with the conservatory views over loch Rannock simply fantastic.we loved eating our own food , washed down with our own wines, paradise. Can’t wait to return
We stayed in a Highland Lodge with fabulous views along the whole of Loch Rannoch. The Contactless Check in system worked well, the Lodge had been thoroughly cleaned in line with Covid-19 guidance and there was clear online procedure guidance before our trip which reassured us. The staff were very helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. The Lodge was well fitted, spacious and comfy, with all amenities we needed. We booked a slot to use the Guest Laundry and this was well kitted out with high quality washers and dryers. We were a little uneasy about holidaying so soon after the easing of Lockdown, but everything had been thought of. Well done Loch Rannoch Highland Club!
