Good apartment with a stunning view of Loch Rannock, was close enough to drive to Aberfeldy Distillery, Blair Athol Distillery, Dalwhinnie Distillery and Edradour Distillery. And had the etape caledonia bike race pass by on the Sunday so all box's ticked.

One of the nicest places we have stayed in as far as the accommodation is concerned. Great views over Loch Rannock from comfortable lodges. This is a great place to go for a quiet restful holiday. It is quite a few miles from a main road on sometimes narrow roads with blind bends used by logging wagons. Not the place...

We spent 2 nights in a one bedroom apartment called Red Deer 1 and were very pleasantly surprised at the size of it. Lovely large living area and gorgeous 'balcony' which was more like a conservatory, with the most amazing views right across the Loch. The kitchen was well equipped, we never cooked but it appeared to have everything you...

Timeshare exchange. We stayed in Lochside 7 which appears to be roughly the size of a broom cupboard when looking at the resort photo, but in fact was quite spacious and more than enough room for a couple. The bunk beds are only for children in my opinion, but the settee converts to a double bed so not a problem....

This resort is the most wonderful location for exploring the Grampian area. The lodge we stayed in is clean, fantastically equipped, staff excellent. They are upgrading the lodges and although ours had not been done it is good. The upgraded ones are excellent. There is a new hotel opening in the village this weekend which will give more local choice...

This was our second trip in three years to the Highland Club. The apartment was fine with plenty of space for us and the kis.tbe view over the Loch and Schallieon is fab. There's not much to do in the village but it's a great place to explore the Highlands, Lochs and Glens. We tried the Loch Tay Safari which...

These properties are now Absurdly cheap and well worth buying! The area is magnificent! The Macdonalds hotel is, admittedly, a rotten place but otherwise this is an excellent and well run resort. Five stars from me!

I stayed here for a weekend that friends had the timeshare booking of. The accommodation was very good once I found it. Signage could definitely be better for a top storey, round the back of the building accommodation ( Otter 2) I tried three times before finding it!!! Elevated views over the loch were lovely despite the wet weather. A...

This is a review for Highland Lodge 43. What i definitely like about Highland Lodge 43: 1- Although our lodge was half renovated but it still managed to give us the comfort for the duration of our stay. Love the Tartan decor in the living/dining room. 2-The welcoming view staying at Lodge 43 3-The staff was very welcoming and helpful,...

We come to KR regularly and always stay in the Highland resort. Accommodation is excellent. Fully equipped apartments, with stunning views from every apartment we have stayed in (twice a year for aprox 10 years). Our only complaint is the bed in the studio apartment is vey uncomfortable and for this reason I would not recommend the studios. Every other...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Loch Rannoch Highland Club is a Timeshare Holiday complex of 85 properties in the picturesque village of Kinloch Rannoch, in Perthshire, Scotland. Our apartments and Lodges can accommodate between 4 and 8 guests. The properties are available to rent, and a few are available for resale, at very competitive prices. The Highland Club is on the banks of Loch Rannoch, a beautiful loch surrounded by walks and scenic locations. The wild Rannoch Moor stretches to the west, and the Tay Forest Park lies along its southern short. The loch, and the Highland Club are presided over by the majestic Schiehallion, or Sidh Chailleann in Gaelic (Fairy Hill of the Caledonians). This Munro is one of the best known in Scotland, and offers breathtaking views and walks.Nestled on the shores of Loch Rannoch, the Loch Secluded and tranquil, as the early morning mists rise slowly from the Loch it is easy to surmise how JM Barrie was inspired to write Peter Pan during his visits to Loch Rannoch area. The imagination can envisage through the mists the bow wave from Hook's ship as it slowly moves towards its Anchorage. The clubs' set activities include; - "the clan night" where two of our tame and (usually) pacified Highlanders give an extremely interesting talk on local history, the clan system, highland dress, and weaponry. The club organised guided walks are set at a pace that everybody can enjoy. Why not spend an evening showing off your intellectual skills at the club quiz night? A water colour masterclass is also provided by the club with a guarantee that every participant will leave with a painting. Of course, no visit to Scotland would be complete without participating in a whisky tasting class. The clubs set activities are included in the price of your accommodation.Providing comfortable self catering accommodation in a breath-taking setting, with fabulous views over Loch Rannoch each unit is comprehensively fitted out with everything you could require making this your home from home in the Highlands. From Rannoch Station you can catch the train to Fort William and then carry on to Mallaig, either by ScotRail or by the world famous Jacobean steam railway following the renowned route used by this steam locomotive in the Harry Potter films.By road Pitlochry, Perth, Aberfeldy, Aviemore and Inverness are easily within day visit radius.Wi-Fi facilities are provided free on-site. ... more   less
