#1 of 2 Speciality lodging in Kinloch Rannoch
The Loch Rannoch Highland Club is a Timeshare Holiday complex of 85 properties in the picturesque village of Kinloch Rannoch, in Perthshire, Scotland. Our apartments and Lodges can accommodate between 4 and 8 guests. The properties are available to rent, and a few are available for resale, at very competitive prices. The Highland Club is on the banks of Loch Rannoch, a beautiful loch surrounded by walks and scenic locations. The wild Rannoch Moor stretches to the west, and the Tay Forest Park lies along its southern short. The loch, and the Highland Club are presided over by the majestic Schiehallion, or Sidh Chailleann in Gaelic (Fairy Hill of the Caledonians). This Munro is one of the best known in Scotland, and offers breathtaking views and walks.Nestled on the shores of Loch Rannoch, the Loch Secluded and tranquil, as the early morning mists rise slowly from the Loch it is easy to surmise how JM Barrie was inspired to write Peter Pan during his visits to Loch Rannoch area. The imagination can envisage through the mists the bow wave from Hook's ship as it slowly moves towards its Anchorage. The clubs' set activities include; - "the clan night" where two of our tame and (usually) pacified Highlanders give an extremely interesting talk on local history, the clan system, highland dress, and weaponry. The club organised guided walks are set at a pace that everybody can enjoy. Why not spend an evening showing off your intellectual skills at the club quiz night? A water colour masterclass is also provided by the club with a guarantee that every participant will leave with a painting. Of course, no visit to Scotland would be complete without participating in a whisky tasting class. The clubs set activities are included in the price of your accommodation.Providing comfortable self catering accommodation in a breath-taking setting, with fabulous views over Loch Rannoch each unit is comprehensively fitted out with everything you could require making this your home from home in the Highlands. From Rannoch Station you can catch the train to Fort William and then carry on to Mallaig, either by ScotRail or by the world famous Jacobean steam railway following the renowned route used by this steam locomotive in the Harry Potter films.By road Pitlochry, Perth, Aberfeldy, Aviemore and Inverness are easily within day visit radius.Wi-Fi facilities are provided free on-site.

Staying in this lodge very soon - does anyone know if it’s warm at night? Any advice of things to take? Internet and TV? And if you can check in before 5 if early. Coming with young children. Is there bedding?

When we first arrived at the Lodge (we were in Red Deer) we were at first a little disappointed as the accommodation was dated. But within a short period we were enchanted by the ever changing view , the accommodation is absolutely fine, loads of hot water and a well equipped kitchen and everything (including linen and towels) of good quality and very clean. We found staff on reception very helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the immediate area and also slightly further afield. We were very sad to leave after our week. Loch Rannoch Highland Club and the view of the Loch will live in our hearts for a very long time.

Having been visiting Loch Rannoch Highland Club for almost 20 years, my family and I have come to expect a tranquil setting that is spotless and professionally manged. Unfortunately during this visit we experienced the rapid decline in the management and provision of the club. We arrived following a 7 hour drive to find our studio had not been cleaned, presenting smeared surfaces, dead flies, coffee stained mugs and a mouldy, leaking roof. This was reported to one of the Directors of the Committee, Frances, who was in charge at that time. Despite admitting that the studio had not been cleaned as they had completely missed our booking from the system, it took over two days for clean bedding and towels to be left at the studio, despite us explaining we had a 4 year old child and would expect the highest levels of cleanliness considering the current international pandemic. Despite numerous phone calls throughout the week, the studio was never cleaned during the entirety of our staff. We left on the 28th August, having spoken with Frances on the 24th at which time she promised a resolution and to be in touch. As yet, we have yet to hear anything despite calling to speak with her twice. Extremely disappointed and saddened by our experience that remains ongoing.

We stayed in a Highland Lodge with fabulous views along the whole of Loch Rannoch. The Contactless Check in system worked well, the Lodge had been thoroughly cleaned in line with Covid-19 guidance and there was clear online procedure guidance before our trip which reassured us. The staff were very helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. The Lodge was well fitted, spacious and comfy, with all amenities we needed. We booked a slot to use the Guest Laundry and this was well kitted out with high quality washers and dryers. We were a little uneasy about holidaying so soon after the easing of Lockdown, but everything had been thought of. Well done Loch Rannoch Highland Club!
