My son and I stayed at Bridge of Gaur on a short walking break and we were treated royally. The rooms are very comfortable , great breakfast, generous packed lunch and very tasty evening meal. Nothing is too much trouble for hosts Eddie and Heather. Can't wait to return

From booking my stay at Bridge of Gaur Guesthouse in April 2016 to arriving on the doorstep in September 2016 I was excited about spending the night 'In the Middle of Nowhere'. Heather set the tone of the ultimate hostess when I initially phoned to make the booking, giving me great information on the local sights. On being shown to...

Heather and Eddie (and wee Thomas) are fantastic hosts. The house is lovely and we were so well looked after - they couldn't do enough for us, including drying our stupidly wet clothes. I will be back definitely,

I stayed two nights while on a walking holiday. From the moment I arrived Eddie and Heather made me very welcome and it felt more like staying with friends. I arrived by motorbike and Eddie made room for the bike in the woodshed, dried my wet boots and bike gear and I was lucky enough to receive a free upgrade...

Thank you for taking the time and for your wonderful review. It s makes us happy that our guests feel at home in the guesthouse. Let us know when you are returning and we will get the route to the wee hidden gem on Loch Ericht for that fishing spot. Hope you bring your classic bike back with you too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our room, meals, the friendliness of Heather and Eddie, and the beauty of the area. Thank you, too, to Allie who welcomed us at dinner. We regret only having one night to stay, especially since we just narrowly missed the Highland games in Kinloch Rannoch and the visit from Jackie Kay, the Scottish poet laureate to read...

The lovely owners of Bridge of Gaur Guesthouse are excellent hosts. They made us fantastic food, gave us great walking tips and provided us with food (and even a hat!) for the next two days out on the moor. The rooms are beautiful and spotless, the atmosphere relaxing and the setting beautiful. I hope to be back and cannot recommend...

Superb hosting, beautiful food and incredible location. A truly wonderful stay of 8 days at the Bridge of Gaur Guesthouse in one of Scotland's most remote locations. If its isolation then this is the place to stay and explore. The road to the guesthouse is down a winding road that ends at Rannoch Station which was built many years ago as a stop off for those going to shoot on the local estate. Rannock Moor is a wild and unspoilt area which has its fair share of...

Delightful family run guest house. En-suite rooms are a good size with tasteful decor. The steak and Guinness pie is to die for. Should be marketed and shared with the rest of the world. Or you just have to make a trip to the Bridge of Gaur Guesthouse to enjoy it.

Ate here about a week ago and we're still talking about it - great food and wine, both reasonably priced. Our hosts made us very welcome and spent time discussing local areas of interest - ask to see the talking bear if you visit!
