Good food served by friendly helpful staff. A beautiful old country pub with a lot of character. Nice homely atmosphere. All food is reasonably priced. Although near to home we will be returning regularly.

Today we experienced a beautiful lunch in this quaint and quiet pub, this was recommended to us by some friends who go here on a regular basis. We went at lunchtime on a Saturday, we were one of very few guests but don't let this scare you. The food is beautiful, very homey and came out fresh from the kitchen,...

Visited the New Inn today for lunch before visiting Perry's Cider farm in Dowlish Wake. We were the first there so there wasn't much of an atmosphere and even when others arrived there was not much of a buzz. However, there was plenty of choice on the menu which was much better than 'standard' pub food (burger, scampi, and so on)...

I have fond memories of this pub. I went back for dinner for the first time in years. It was good to go back. This is is a delightful little country pub in a beautiful village. I have eaten in a number of the village pubs in this area - this is one of the better ones. The food is...

I had a meal here with family members who live in the area. The Village is very pretty and the pub is quaint and very cosy....a good place to go for a drink. However, the food was very average, pub fare. Good sized portions but, in my opinion, overcooked and the dishes that I had, in my opinion, were not...

Good food. Friendly staff. The room was nice and was situated in the gardens. The prices were very reasonable. The pub itself had a good range of drinks. The pub is well situated in a quiet area but close to places of interest. Be sure you know where you are going if you are not familiar with the country lanes...

We've eaten at this lovely old pub several times now and it's always been excellent. The steak night on Monday evenings (two steak dinners and a bottle of wine for £23) is a bargain and very good quality. Staff are great too.

Ok the meal was OK' On the the menu it said Gammon with a double egg,I got one which was fried ,hard not runny, Me and the wife read the menu ,it states, why not add a sauce,to your meal.wish we never did,it was not a Stilton sauce. It was powdery mix, with no taste and no Stilton cheese at all, so...

Before I start, don't get me wrong, we have stayed here before and although the accommodation was not the cleanest we have stayed in, it was manageable, however, on this visit, standards have definitely slipped. We stayed for 3 nights, after the first night, the bed was only just about covered over by the staff, after the 2nd night, the...
