Our room had a lovely view of the House in the Clouds. Breakfast was a treat and there was plenty of parking.A lovely...

Visited here for a golf weekend with friends, golf was good, hotel was good however the food was a total let down, over priced and poor quality, the Guinness was not good either which really let down a good weekend, The food is over priced for what you get and the quality of food is poor considering the prices

Was very impressed with the last visit here, but it seems that January is an off period for the hotel. The food wasn't as good as the last time and breakfast was equally bad. Will give them another chance as the location is great.

This was our second visit to the Thorpeness Hotel and Golf Club, we brought friends with us this time and we weren't disappointed. The rooms were large, clean and had great views over the golf course. There was a great choice of breakfasts using high quality ingredients and the customer service was expemplary.

Just returned from a fabulous 3 night golfing break over the New Year. Great location, a good test of golf, comfortable superior rooms and a cosy bar with log fires. The bar, restaurant and pro shop staff were particularly friendly & helpful and the food was very good although the service was a tad slow. Our dog enjoyed his stay...

We stayed for 2 nights; our room was comfortable and overlooked the 3rd and although we are not golfers it was fascinating to watch the players. The staff were very courteous and helpful especially in the restaurant although I did feel they were understaffed. The hotel was clean and welcoming and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We believe it represented...

Stay here for one night after going to see concert at Snape. Staff very efficient and polite. Lovely bar with fire and very comfortable sitting room. We were in the annex and had a large well equipped room. The shower was pathetic however.

Had a Xmas party here and surprised how the place really needs a massive injection of money. My room was in another block which has had a bit spent on it, but floor in room broken, need to put tea tray on floor to boil the kettle, use a spoon to wedge the plug back open on the basin, and...

This course has some very nice, well conceived holes but they are in the minority. The par 4s, in the main, are too long for the average golfer. The main problem lies in the presentation. Untidy in a number of areas and greens appear to have been worked on too late in the year for quick recovery. Incidentally, avoid the...
