Booked a couple of nights in the self catering cottage, dog friendly, everything to hand and very comfortable, cottage has an interesting multi level layout which is deceptively roomy but cosy, everything works and is to hand, owners very nice, friendly, helpful and trusting. Highly recommended.

We stayed one night while on a cycle tour of the Highlands. Elaine and Brian were very welcoming and kindly let us store our bikes in their shed. The room was great, peaceful and with a lovely view across the river, but it was the breakfast that made Monach House stand out. Lots of care and attention to the little...

Myself and two friends stayed here after completing the Conival/Ben More Assynt munro double header and were delighted to find a terrific host and an exceptionally comfortable room! Elaine went to huge lengths to arrange our room for three people and the effort was much appreciated. The breakfast was also excellent and included a freshly made smoothie. A really enjoyable...

This B&B is beautifully presented, with great attention to detail and every facility. The breakfast was also excellent and attractively presented. If you are a B&B sort of person you will absolutely love it; if you're more inclined to the anonymous you might feel a little bit tense.

Stayed here on last night of lands end to John o groats cycle ride, and it was an excellent choice. Sorted out evening meal for me at bistro next door. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. Porridge and smoothies highly recommended!

Comfortable, clean and friendly. You can always tell owners that really care, and these do. Elaine sorted out our dinner booking as the bistro next doir was closed that night. Breakfast was wondeful and we would come again.

What a treat it was to stay at Monach House again! Elaine and Brian are amazing hosts, always making sure I had everything I needed and showing me some of the delights that the area has to offer. All 3 dogs (Bailey, Jack and Daniels) were lovely to have as company too! Even with ice cold conditions outside, I was...

Once again we experienced a fantastic welcome and fabulous hospitality. I cannot rate this B&B highly enough. They know the local area extremely well and were able to offer us excellent advice on where to visit. The room and bed is extremely comfortable, some times, too much! It is the best stocked bathroom for toiletries I have ever seen, you...
