Šenk's homestead is the pearl of the Alpine architecture and a typical nucleated rural settlement of the area. The engraved year 1521 above the door of the main building tells us of its age. At the Šenk’s homestead, we offer accommodation in two renovated buildings: in the main house on the homestead which we call the old house and in the smaller, usufruct house. There are a total of 11 units and 30 beds in both houses. We offer differently sized apartments and rooms, and it is also possible to camp on the farm in the summer. For all nature lovers, we have reserved a space for placing tents on the beautiful lawn next to the ancient ash tree promenade. The space is sufficient for large or small tents. In dry weather, you can also drive to the meadow by car. In the inner courtyard of the camp, everyone with motorhomes and caravans is welcome. We offer our guests breakfasts and dinners based on local products, mostly produced on our farm.
There are several multifaceted gems that one should not overlook, when visiting Slovenia. Jezersko is one of them and it deserves several days for exploration. Therefore, to avoid daily driving, which takes roughly an hour from the capital city, it is best to book an accommodation in the valley. For our 3-day retreat, we have chosen Tourist farm Šenk’s homestead, which is one of the oldest homesteads in Jezersko, where you can admire breath-taking views of the mountains. And while the nature surrounding the farm is truly stunning, it is the people at the farm (owners and staff) and the impeccable neatness of the farm that really made the difference! The buildings were renovated with great care, the facilities are super clean and the interior design is really cute. Throughout our stay, we felt cosy and welcomed; enjoyed great food (with great care and joy they have prepared me super tasty gluten free meals), had pleasant conversations with owners and staff, admired all animals at the farm (chicken, ducks, sheep, cows, cats and dogs ), climbed the mountains and hiked numerous well marked hiking trails in Jezersko region. This tourist farm is definitely worth visiting, and we highly recommend it to literary everyone who loves nature!

One of the our most unique farm style stay in Slovenia so far. The rooms are all comfy, pleasant, clean and welcoming. The farm is very stylish. They offer a local Slovenian food that is very authentic, fresh, organic and mostly delicious. Definitely worth to try out. There’s also plenty of activities to do for families, couples and kids as well. They have a lovely farm style play ground in front of the farm and in the backyard they have farm animals that are interesting for kids to see. Definitely a memorable stay!

One of the best overnight stay with delicious breakfast full of nutritious ingredients. Nice and interesting rooms in more then 500 years old building. Very kind owners and stuff. Oh, did I mention all the nature surroundings? Must see moments. Highly recommended.

Everything was great until check-out. We stayed two nights, the host was friendly and helped us pick an eBike tour that we rented. But the worst thing was at checkout when we wanted to pay. The price on their website for renting eBike was 30€ for 3 hours for person.. at the end it cost us 40€ per person for 3 hours. When I asked why because the price list on the website was different the response was not very professional, she said that no one complained before. And that really isn’t okay.

I write this review with great respect for what this establishment stands for. It is also obvious that a lot of thought has gone into the refurbishment and layout. However, this is where the good ends, at least in our experience.
The family have a strange air about them, no one is particularly friendly or accommodating and we, as guests spending quite a lot of money, did not feel very welcome.
The rooms are nice and well-furnished but, as others have mentioned, the beds are painfully uncomfortable.
We were looking forward to local home-cooked food but were bitterly disappointed. The food was below average. One dinner in particular was almost inedible (the meat was overcooked and dry, almost impossible to cut.
We didn't dare mention this at the time as the family didn't seem receptive to any feedback suggesting improvements, and we didn't want a confrontation to ruin our stay. I believe that fact alone is telling enough.
Jezersko is beautiful and this place has so much potential so it really is a shame more consideration is not given to true hospitality.

Dear Pomlad! Thank you for your comment and your opinion. We are really sorry, that you left our farm with bitter taste in your mouth. We tried our best to meet all your expectations. For example we were really flexible and let you in room till late afternoon (with no extra costs for late check out) and moderate menu to your many dietary preferences. I do not know what exactly you meant with strange air, but we prefer to tell us if something bothers you. I am sorry you didn't like the dinner. This is a turistic farm house with beds and food. We went there only for coffee and some dessert. Coffee was ver, very bad and we couldn't drink it. The dessert was good. We heard some turist asking for some domestic food for lunch. They didn't have it althoug the advertise that they had and also for the gusts who don't stay at their pension. They saidthey can go to ene mountain cottage on 20000 m. What???!!! They didn't want to go hiking they wanted a lunch. The domestic girl who was serving was shy and unexpirineced. This is no way to have turistic business.

The surroundings and nature are awesome, the farm has potential and lots of wood used inside and outside make it a pleasant feeling…however…we ABSOLUTELY didn’t like the rude, arrogant attitude on a couple of occasions in our under 24h stay. The personnel doesn’t understand it’s not just nature and facility, it’s kindness and skills to communicate with guests. Coming overwhelmed in a good spirit and meeting that…Wouldn’t recommend, unfortunately.

The glory of this hotel are the staff and the view. Polona is a force of nature and her husband is a famous mountaineer and skier. And before you at dinner are the huge cliffs of the mountains lit up by the evening sun. You are within walking distance of some great trailheads and very unspoilt walks. Place, house, location is perfect. House is wonderful decorated. We come to spend a day in beautiful enviroment, tasty food and to relax. Conntact with owners wife was terrible, she was raising her voice cause we were drinking own wellcoming drink. We will never go back.

Great camping with amazing views. The place was exceptionally clean and well equipped and the stuff was very friendly. Lovely place for spending time near the mountains.
