3 stars superior AKZENT hotel and restaurant Welcome to the hotel and restaurant Höhenblick. Our hotel is enframed by the mountain chaines of the Swabian highlands and situated picturesquely on the backside of the "Sommerberg". Since 1998 Doris Junginger has been managing the hotel and restaurant Höhenblick, with the swabian cosiness and the bavarian charm. But the entrepreneurial starting shot was already in the year 1950 with the Café Höhenblick. Since then a lot has changed, but our motto still remains the same: Who arrives as a guest, leaves as a friend! The view from our big terace goes over the upper valley of the river Fils an its afforested hillsides, where still blooming juniper can be seen. Free for our guests: parking sauna and heated outdoor spa communication- and guest office wifi use in the restaurant and meeting area Stop solidely Our hotel is a perfect starting point for hikes, tours on motorcycle or bicycle. And in winter when it's snowing The ski-lifts and the cross-country ski-tracks of the Swabian highlands are waiting for you! Excursionists, transients or parties, all have the opportunity to stop solidely in a personally atmosphere. Our overnight-staying guests have a house at there disposal, which is at the same time minted by tradition and modernised stylishly. 56 guest-rooms invite you to a recreating stay. Hold meetings in tranquility Business travellers appreciate our house for its modern seminar rooms, the calm and the advantageous motorway-connection. In our restaurant our guests can expect a mixture of swabian plain cooking and upper gastronomy, all meals are prepared variously and in an original way. Even in times of high activity our service staff works with caution, patience and a smile. Not only our guests benefit this fact, it creates as well a heartily atmosphere in our apprenticing company. Familie Junginger Because we have the desire that our guests feel like home. The one with a sense for architecture will, with no doubt, like our guest house. Your host Doris Junginger

Second year we come for a night stop. We have 4 kids and they gave us a room for all of us which is great. Price of the hotel is a bit expensive given the room facilities (bathroom is a plastic prebuilt one). On the plus side: 1. service at the restaurant is amazing. Nice and flexible, they gave us toys to entratain kids at the restaurant. 2. Food at the restaurant is very good. Lot of choice for kids at reasonable prices and excellent meals for adults. 3. Breakfast is continental style. Everything you wish for 4. The setting of the restaurant is pleasant - nice decoration.

Quiet comfortable clean. This was an excellent choice to stay. The view is magnificent. The room was spacious and well appointed. Dinner was very good. We had the schnitzel and the steak were delicious. Service was quick and efficient. The room came with a full breakfast. Very pleased and look forward to returning.

We booked this hotel online, as it fell on our travel route. We were very pleased to arrive to a beautiful "chalet style" hotel in a mountain valley. There were great views of the surrounding area. The facility included the main hotel building and a guest house across the parking lot. The price was excellent for three travellers and the room was huge. The bathroom was awesome and had the best water pressure of this month long trip. The restaurant serves local cuisine at very reasonable prices. 3 courses for 3 people, with beer and wine for 80 euros. Remember that Germany is often much more expensive. The staff all spoke English and were very helpful. I want to come back in winter, as the valley will be beautiful

There is no guarantee this hotel will honour your reservation. We received an email from them four days prior to us travelling with some cock and bull story about how the hotel and restaurant would be closing at 6pm on the day of our arrival. If we were to arrive later than this then they'd have to give us a code to obtain the key from a security box. They then proceeded to completely ignore the next three emails I sent them. This is a shame as we've stayed there twice before and enjoyed it. Luckily we were able to find alternative accommodation and definitely won't be going here again.

Hotel room had a wonderful view of the valley (which the restaurant did as well) and was surprisingly very large. Yes, the decor was a little out dated but was very comfortable and clean. We had breakfast on our balcony and really enjoyed the views. It was very conveniently located off the highway as we were traveling a lot during our stay there but you could not hear any noise at all. It was a really nice stay here.

Hotel is nicely situated on the slopes of a hill providing a very nice view at breakfast. Staff is friendly and efficient. Route to the hotel might pose a bit of a challenge when it is snowing, the road is fairly steep and snow chains may be required. Rooms are slightly outdated (Seventies) but still provide basic functionality. Food is OK and fairly priced. All in all a very decent hotel for travelers.

We stayed in this hotel twice for one night en route to our final destinations. It is very conveniently located just off the highway but not too close to be disturbed by noise. Rooms are either in the main building or cross the road in a separate building. The hotel is built on a steep hill so there is a nice view from one side. But our room in the main building faced the slope at the back - no view at all. We did not mind but would not like it if staying for longer. This room had a large bathroom. The room in the other building was better but the bathroom was miniscule. It was made of one piece of plastic - floor, walls and tub. I can imagine it was easy to maintain and there were no water leaks, but it felt like a toilet in a plane. The rooms were clean. The restaurant offered nice views, I liked watching lights of cars moving, or not moving, on the highway. The menu was good, staff polite and food very good. The breakfast buffet offered standard, but satisfying, variety. The hotel offers plenty of free parking (most of it sloped in the hill). The hotel is often use for corporate functions and could be quite busy. There is something about the hotel, its atmosphere, which did not allow us to feel fully comfortable. However, we intend to use the hotel in the future to stay overnight during our trips.

We have stayed at this Hotel on two occasions now. Initially chosen as it is so easy to get to from the A8 as a stop off when travelling further afield. The hotel is full of character and the staff are very friendly. The food is very good, both evening meals and breakfast. Would definitely stay for longer if we were spending more time in the Muhlhausen area.
