Hotel LIVVO Valle Taurito & Aquapark is praised for its cleanliness, with guests consistently commending the spotless facilities and daily housekeeping. The spacious rooms are a hit among families, as are the hotel's amenities, although some visitors are disappointed by the additional charges for water park access and the limited entertainment options on-site. While the hotel's location is appreciated for its beach proximity, others find it somewhat isolated. Service experiences vary, with some guests encountering friendly staff, while others face slow or unprofessional service. The 'all-inclusive' label has come under criticism for not living up to expectations due to the extra costs.

So we are here during the COVID Pandemic and we have all commented the same "it would be horrendous if all of the surrounding hotels were full"

The hotel itself is very nice, spacious rooms which are very well cleaned and presentable.

Food is fine, nothing so shout home about but nothing to complain about either.

Drinks are very poor, wine is not good, whisky was unrecognisable, cocktails were mediocre, go down the the beach and but cocktails - management note... this is what they should be like.

Charging for slushies, Ice cream, pool table is a bit naughty really! There are I've creams (tubs) but come on, the kids see the exciting ones and you have to pay!

The staff were generally all nice and accommodating, the wearing of face masks everywhere was a major pain but fully expected and the staff tried to enforce it as best as they could, generally everyone was ok with this but we all made mistakes and the staff did dress you down if you did make mistakes.

The pool area is the letdown here. My daughter had a mermaid tail which was not allowed in the pool, nor were inflatables, balls etc. There water park over the road was available to us but drinks and food had to be paid for.

The location is nice but far too isolated with little or no choice to get out for a walk and experience other bars, restaurants etc.

If we were not in the Pandemic and all the hotels here were open I would have loathed being here. Luckily, it was it was so very quiet, not any guests at all and the break was a nice one. You could see that management responses to points raised by guests in 2017 and 2018 were replied to by management saying they would consider these points but even in 2020 they points had not been resolved.

Tip: entertainment area is not fit for purpose for a complex so big, golf area is twice the size of seating area and this was full in the evenings even with many of the hotels shut and no where near capacity those that were open.

Would I recommend no
Would I return no
Was it bad no
Could it be improved, yes and then many no's would be a yes.

Dear Ben Q, Thank you for choosing our hotel and for writing this comprehensive review of your experience, including quite a few good points and even some suggestions for possible improvements. It is great to know that you were very satisfied with the hotel itself as well as the room´s spaciousness and cleanliness. According to current laws (both on the national and local level) hotels are not allowed to open for business unless they comply with a rather comprehensive list of requirements, and one of the most important and impactful is the restriction on maximum allowed percentage of occupation, which currently (on the 24th of August) is nowhere near a 100%. Floating devices and balls are generally not allowed in the pool, which the by the way is a very common pool rule in most hotels in Gran Canaria, which serves several purposes but the 2 most important ones are pool user´s safety (line of sight between the lifeguard and the guests´heads above water is interrupted by floating devices) and comfort (floating devices take up large area that could be used by other guests and balls are not always as well controlled as they should be). Many of our guests, particularly our returning guests, are quite fond of the "secludedness" of Taurito, as it has a less mass tourism-like feel and greater tranquility to it. For all those who seek out some night life and like to party, there is always Puerto Rico at a mere 8 minutes (and 13€) by taxi. Again thank you for the time and effort you put into this comprehenisve comment, your remarks and suggestions will be forwarded to the corresponding department heads for them to review and take it into account for possible improvements to our services. Please know that you are always very welcome to visit our hotels again, should you consider giving it another shot. Kind regards, The Paradise Team

I chose the hotel as we had previously stayed at their affiliated hotel (Lago Taurito) a few years ago. We wanted a more upscale experience (4 star versus 3), access to a gym, etc.

Check in was "okay" but was interrupted 3 times to help other guests. Not a great start after a long journey.

I was charged adult prices for my 15 year old despite him having no access to alcohol and other adult ammenities. Be mindful of this.

The room was very, very basic. Yes, there was a hairdryer and fridge, but although the tv had 50+ channels only 1 was in English. Also for a 4* property to charge extra for wifi in 2020, is pretty dire and unexpected. Also, across Europe I would expect coffee and tea making facilities in the room. As it was, I had to wait until we went down for breakfast to have my caffeine injection for the day.

The cleaning staff were amazing and the room and common areas were spotless.

It was often very busy at mealtimes, I would imagine in peak season it is even more crazy. Although the food was okay, it wasn't really any better than their 3* property, so don't assume it's an upgrade to stay here.

The balcony had 2 chairs (for 3 guests!). A lounge chair would have been nice.

Although when we booked we were told there would be 3 beds, one was a sofa bed.

I am an avid gym go-er, however the gym was a farce. 2 broken exercise bikes, 1 spin bike, 2 elliptical machines (both broken). No treadmills, no kettle bells. Shocking to call it a gym, really. There were two new'ish machines for the upper body.

Lastly, our room smelled of smoke each day because guests on either side smoked on their balcony. They should really designate a section of the hotel as non-smoking. This ruined our enjoyment and prevented us from sitting on the balcony.

I booked a room in Costa Taurito, but Valle Taurito was the only hotel open in the whole valley, so I was staying there as well. The hotel is spacious and clean, although facilities are a bit outdated and you can see the wear and tear all around. The room was spacious and had a large balcony with a good view of the water park and the sea. Biggest negative for me was that there was no free WiFi in the room and you had to pay extra for that.
The pool area was nice but quite small so it would be overcrowded if the hotel was even half full. The nearby beach has nice silky black sand and decent selection of water sport services. You can see the neighboring town and a beautiful sunset from there. The waves can be a bit strong sometimes but nothing too dangerous. The waterpark entry being included in the all inclusive package is a nice touch, it's a good option for children.
The food selection was limited and often it was either too bland or too salty. They tried to switch it up a bit everyday, but it was mostly the same dishes. Hygiene and Covid measures were good, although they let the kids roam around freely.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful most of the time, only the restaurant staff was a bit grumpy when things got really busy. The people working at the reception were great, you can always go to them for help. I had great experience with Linh especially. She gave me good tips and advices on where to go and what to do around the area and the island.
All in all, don't go there expecting a luxury hotel and services, but you'll get what you paid for. Because of the Covid situation, the hotel is relatively empty so it has a nice quite and calm atmosphere, good for a relaxing and lying around soaking in some sun.

Dear guest, thank you very much for your review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay at our hotel and enjoyed your room and the view. Unfortunately, the WIFI in the room has a cost, but it is free in the public areas. We are taking very seriously your comment about our food and are analyzing how we can improve the variety even in times of low occupancy as we have it right now due to the pandemic. We will congratulate our reception staff and especially Linh for your nice comment, and would be very glad if we could welcome you once again as our guest some time in the future. Kind regards, the Paradise team.

Please think twice to spend holiday with your family at this hotel
We late arrive after 7pm and one of receptionist offer Free late check out so we agree , the day before leaving we go to reception and confirm offer but one of worker says that we need to spend €66 to keep room for 5h or we need to check out at 11. We got 2 kids so we wanna stay but same receptionist change his mind and told me that our room will be rent so is no chance to keep room ( in COVID 19 well done ,just 3h need to clean and disinfect room after 4 people ) . We book holiday and all was fine until we notice that for breakfast, lunch and dinner you got chips, pizza ,pasta with 3 sauces, hot dog and hamburgers !!! If you wanna fish or pork chops/ beef you need wait 5 minutes because chef got time and he not hurry not all. Day by day was same food , heavy oily and nothing special and common with Spanish food. Complain 3 times , nobody care . Drinks/cocktails in pool bar are so poor .. without alcohol. More people choose bear or wine ( but that was disgusting to see flys sitting on dispenser and limes ale inside your glass disgusting 🤢 )

Air conditioning in room is can’t be setting without remote control , we try to open balcony door but from both side we got smokers so like you can imagine you need to choose smell toxic cigarettes or stay with rooms without went) .

Bathroom shower screen was leaking so after 4 showers you need dry floor to avoid any injuries , so we loose ale towels .

Pool is small and lifeguard more care about mums rather kids . So remember be close to your kids .

Stuff in restaurant remove and take your dirty plates woth fork and knife , so if you not keep your dirty CD-ROM and knife you can’t eat more .

Kids without parental control lick spoon with sauce for taste, take chips with hands, spill good on floor , staff do not take any actions ,but if you ask for table in outside oooo there is problem for prepare table for you .

Don’t get me wrong I love animas but cats coming to restaurants and beg for food ? Kids touch animals and next touch spoons , and food 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ And nobody care about it .

Hotel is good looking , that’s all .
Better spend more money and book another hotel.
Never ever again .

Dear guest, thank you for taking the time and share your experiencie in our hotel. We regret that apparently we did not meet your expectations, and would like to comment some of the points you describe in your review. Please be assured that under no cicumstances we inform about late check outs free of charge upon guest's arrival, apart from being subject to availability, which leads us to the conclusion that there must have been some kind of misunderstanding. Whislt we may understand that our choice of food was not to your satisfation, which we regret, we must clarify that we defintely do not offer things like pizza, pasta, hot dogs, hamburgers for breakfast as you describe it in your review. Fish and meat are often prepared in our show cooking station in front of the guest and accoriding to the guest's preferences. This can take indeed some minutes. Our coctail choice include both coctails with and without alcohol. Drinks dispensers are being cleaned after each service. . The air condition in our rooms can be regulated by the white control device on the wall next to the bed. Unfortunately we have found no mention in our records about smokers on balconies or the leaking shower screen. In both cases we would have taken immediate action in order to solve these issues. All our staff members are instructed to make sure that hygiene standards are follwed. Although we do recognize that it is not possible to control permanently each and everyone of our guests, we receive generlly a positive feedback regarding hygiene and COVID measures. Again, we do regret that you did not fully enyou your holdiay in our hotel. It would have been a pleaure to have a talk with you during your stay; this would have given us the opportunity to resolve issues and to improve your impresseion of our hotel. Kind regards The Paradise Team

Visited for a winter break over New Years.
Nice quality all inclusive buffet with food to meet most peoples’ tastes and needs.
The New Years dinner was lovely with lots of effort put into it.
The main pool is a good size with lots of loungers and a bar & snacks close by. Towels are usually out by 7.15am so set the alarm if you want a good spot (I guess this is the norm anyway now).
As the resort is in a valley, the Sun comes over the mountain at one side and then retreats over the other side so you get less sun than an open / beach location hotel.
Aqua park is fun but be ready for the salt water as it can take you by surprise. Minimum height for slides is mostly 1.2m.
Check out the beach and water sports as they are great, if a little expensive.
The resort entertainment is ok but can be quite loud and yobbish at times until around midnight. All the room’s balconies face into it so you can’t really escape the cheesy music and terrible singing…

Dear TD_Yorkshire, Thank you for the perfect score of 5 out 5 possible points here on TripAdvisor and for taking the time to write this nice review about your recent stay here at the VALLE Taurito Hotel. For clarification: - There are 3 distinct height requirements for 3 distinct slide areas. For the smallest family members there is the pirate ship with 2 small slides for babies and small children to be used only when accompanied by a responsible older person (like a parent or grandparent). There is an area with medium sized slides where the minimum height is 1m and the child needs to be able to swim well enough by him or herself because the the water is too deep to stand on the ground. And then there is the area with the largest and most exciting slides where the minimum height is indeed 1,2m. - The evening entertainment usually finishes at around 10pm but the music may be playing until a little later, but never past 11pm. Thank you for choosing our hotel and, again, for writing this lovely comment. Kind regards, The VALLE Hotel Team

My husband & I are currently staying here, it’s a short break for our mini moon. Before we travelled I asked for a bottle of Champagne to be put in our room which I would have paid for, and as yet nothing has been received.

The room is very spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the ocean and pools, however the bed is like sleeping on a blank of wood.

The food! Well the breakfast is ok, apart from having coffee in plastic cups. The snack bar, if you like stale rolls/bread then you will be ok. We’ve eaten once in the evening, the food was warm with not too much variety.

The pool bar is again ok, but the queue to get a drink is normally five or six people deep and it’s all local drinks included in the All Inclusive.

There is no entertainment in the actual hotel, you have to walk to the central area and if you like Butlins, think Butlins but in the sun.

The reception staff on arrival were friendly, but that’s about as friendly as it gets, the staff in the bar and restaurant just grunt at you.

If you have children there is everything here but you will need money as a lot of the extras are not included.

All in all if I had been staying here for a week, i would have booked myself into another accommodation.

Dear Vickieessery76, Thank you very much for choosing us and sending us this valuable feedback. You were indeed offered a complimentary bottle of wine for your arrival day and due to human error it was not delivered when it should have. But upon reading your comment and realizing his mistake the person who should have taken care of it had the bottle sent to your room in the early hours of the last evening of your 4 night stay and he also enclosed a written apology and a little extra gift. We really appreciate you sharing your point of view regarding the various matters you touch upon in your review, your remarks and comments may aid us in improving our guests services. This hotel is lovely, from the minute you walk in, the reception is lovely, spacious and airy and the lovely feature wall when walking in is stunning.

The rooms are huge and very clean, there is a lot of storage space and plenty of hangers for all clothing. The beds are really comfy and pillows were great for me as really soft.

You get a large desk with information around hotel and a telly also just above.

Also somewhere to store your suitcases so they aren't left on the floor also makes room look a lot more tidy.

The bathroom is super clean and very modern it was lovely, they also provide toothbrushes and few more ammenties in the bathroom, our room had a bath and shower so was brilliant.

The resturants is very nice you can choose from outdoor or indoor dining and there is a lot to choose from, sometimes a little repetitive but it's just like any other allinclusive but food was really yummy.

Pool side has great views as it's on a balcony so can see out to sea. There are plenty of hangers around for everyone and there is a separate bit for the children's pool so really safe.

I couldn't fault the staff as I never had anything to worry about or ask so for me as friendly as they should be.

The only thing that I would mark down is I spilt a drink on our bed in the room and thought with me having it visible the maid would have changed the linen but this was still on the linen for 2 days until I requested it to be changed, but apart from that nothing to fault at all.

Me and my partner had a lovely time and would recommend.

Stayed here between 6 and 13 Feb,20 on the A/I board. The reception was very quick, partly due to the fact we had private transfers, so got to the hotel before others off the flight. We had a room on the 4th floor and it was very large with a similar large bathroom with a wet floor shower. Ideal for me as I have a walking problem. The balcony is also very large. Beds were good and gave a good sleep. The food was excellent and good choices. Rooms cleaned every day. There is no direct entertainment in the hotel, but is provided across the road at the center, although we didn't go. Not much point when we could sit on our balcony and listen to the music. Snacks etc., are available at the pool bar on two different timings. The pool bar is the only one that was open, but never to long to wait for the drinks to be served. The pool is not heated, but once you were in it was fine.
You also get full access to the Aquapark across the road.
We visited Puerto Rico by taxi (12 euros)but it was slightly disappointed as it has been developed beyond all recognition. We also visited Puerto Mogan and had to get the free bus from Taurito to Playa Del Cura and then get another bus from there to Puerto Mogan (1.40 euros). I don't like heights and we had to go over the old road high up the mountain. Again Mogan has changed but still had its feeling of pleasantness especially around the original harbour.
Unfortunately, we thought we had the return flight checked in luggage, but were told that it didn't come in until May, but not a problem for us as check in at the airport was exceeding quick and easy.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thanks to all at the hotel.

Dear johnryan1951, We are very pleased to know that you had an absolutely great 5/5 holiday experience at the Paradise VALLE Taurito Hotel. You are correct in stating that the pool is not kept at a hot temperature but it is also not left untouched, as there is machinery connected to it which is configured to keep it at a minimum temperature of 23 degrees Celsius. If it were not for that during the winter months the pool would likely never be over 20 degrees (considering that the days are shorter, therefore less hours of direct sunlight hitting the water and longer hours of air temperature under 20 degrees during the night). Most people are positively happy with the 2 new, modern and large shopping centers that have opened in Puerto Rico during the last months of 2019, we are sorry to hear that you are not big fans of these new developments. It would be very nice to welcome you back, so please make sure to come visit us again for another great stay in Paradise. Kind regards, The Paradise Team

We are currently staying at the Paradise after being moved here after our original hotel choice was not open due to covid.

The location is very pretty, over looks the sea and in a very quiet bay. There isn’t much open during the day so if you are not all inclusive may struggle. They have a supermarket opposite and at night more shops open up.

The rooms are huge and have very big balconies! I have noticed some ‘pool side’ rooms, these seem to be very limited but ideal for anyone struggling with mobility or larger families. I would recommend a room on a high floor for the views, however the lifts are VERY slow and therefore if you struggle to walk or in the heat maybe request level 2/3.

All areas of the hotel are really clean and have hand washing at every lift and bar. Outside of covid I imagine the restaurant is much nicer, currently you have a time slot for every meal time which works well, however does limit you to one hour and there can sometimes be queues for the hot meal area. The staff work incredibly hard and are very on the ball with social distancing.

The whole resort is wearing face masks 24/7 so bring plenty with you. The only exceptions are once you are at the beach/when you are seated by or in the pool/or when you are seated at a bar or restaurant. Because of this it feels very safe.

The hotel is partnered with a water park opposite which is amazing for families and children and has lots more seating and pool space than the hotels own pool area.

There is entertainment throughout the day and a bigger show on an evening with lots around the stage for children and families to enjoy (rides, games etc). If you are worried about travelling here don’t be! My only issues are that there aren’t enough sun beds around the pool. The beach is quite small, but if you are looking for a chilled place to relax for a week this is a perfect hotel! (I would recommend mainly to families)!

We just came home from 10 great days here! Our daughter loved the pool and made plenty of friends there. The only reason I have given 4 stars rather than 5 is because last time we came 4 years ago, the food and the entertainment were great, this time they weren’t. Whilst you can always find something to eat, after a few days it gets repetitive. Breakfast and lunch were brill though! The animation team are terrific with the children and work so hard. Last time we came there were professional shows on most nights, this time there were 2 shows and 3 professional singers. The singers were awful and we ended up leaving. Other than that it was quizzes that were a bit classless with people storming the stage. The drinks are great at the hotel and the arena plaza. If you ask them at the plaza to make your cocktails fresh then Ali will do this and they are amazing! If they’re from the machine they’re bad! Monica at the pool bar is amazing, the young lady with the glasses is great too, the others are rude and it isn’t a language barrier issue. They won’t serve past 10:50pm as their till says it’s 11 so they will charge you! Our daughter loved the mini disco and the kids club. We had our towels out at all different times during the 10 days and never had a problem getting a sun bed but it was getting busy the closer to 8am you got. The life guards are very strict which is understandable given the size of the pool and the size of the inflatables people buy but stopping people throwing a small ball is a bit excessive! A lot of parents expect the guards to baby sit their children though and sit drinking all day without watching their children in the pool at all! After 5 it gets a bit crazy in the pool. This is probably the most expensive all inclusive you will go on as although drinks etc are free, there is an arcade and trampolines etc that children will definitely want to go on as there isn’t much else to do in the area. We did venture out in a taxi to Puerto Rico for €12 one way and Mogan on a Friday for the market was €18 one way. We also had tea at the beach and bought plenty of ice creams and slushes which all cost money! The place is also spotless and the cleaners do such a brilliant job in the rooms and all through the hotel! As we we’re leaving we also saw they were decorating the rooms around ours which they do need a freshen up! For what you pay, you get it all in abundance! All in all, we had such a good time but we’re glad to be home!

Ice cream tubs are available behind the pool bar , The water park has loads of sun beds and I’m not too sure about all inclusive upgrades. But this place is set up brilliant for families. My room was set up for solo use two extra large single beds pushed together but only used one. I hope this helped happy holidays.
