The TUI BLUE Suite Princess garners praise for its tranquil beachfront setting and general cleanliness, with many guests enjoying the spacious rooms boasting sea views. However, some visitors feel that certain premium upgrades don't match the value, citing extra charges as a drawback. While the atmosphere is appreciated for its entertainment, there are calls for a more consistently lively vibe.
The service receives commendation for the staff's friendliness and hard work, although slow service and under-staffing have been noted. Additionally, guests have called out the need for room refurbishments and better air conditioning.

Detailed Reviews
Can not complain at all about the Deluxe Junior Suite that we booked. It was spacious and modern with all the equipment you would expect as per the brochures.
One thing to note that only all in one body lotion/shampoo is provided with no hair conditioner.
The tv in the room has the 4 main UK channels and a few other satellite English channels.
The buffet breakfast lunch and dinner meals are ok plenty of choice but nothing special. In saying this we are not great fans of buffets so not really able to make a comment.
Dinning can be very busy so my advice is leave breakfast till 10am and get dinner as early as possible.
There is an al le carte restaurant open on week days only. One visit per stay whether you stop one week or 4. It is good but impersonal as you sit in a long row with other guests. Make sure you book asap as you may not get a booking before you return home.
Buffet lunch is served by the pool which was fine in January but I wouldn't like to be eating when the Water Park right next door is busy with hundreds of children.
Take note this Adult Only Hotel is right next to a Childrens Water Park.
There is daily entertainment throughout the day including Aqua fitness around the pool. Pleased I had my noise cancelling earphones. The sun loungers have no padding and will not recline flat so no lying on your stomach. The other problem is when guests decide to use their mobile phones inches away from you.
Bar service during the day is "hitty missy" but one thing this hotel is brilliant at is the variation of branded spirits good quality wine/carver and bottled lager. There is no restriction on taking whatever want to your room. We saw people taking 2 or 3 bottles to their rooms. Hope they got up the next day.
Bar staff at night were excellent.
There is nightly entertainment in the cosy piano bar, however I never heard anyone play the piano. Entertainers generally had their own equipment with backing tracks.
There were some good singers but not a great variation in the songs sung. We noticed that different singers were doing the same songs as the nght before. Putting this aside it was ok entertainment.
One night we saw a sole singer in the main entertainment area who I would certainly recommend seeing.
The hotel has daily free buses to the town and to the weekly market. There is no-where nearby to walk due the road being closed as it is considered dangerous.
All this taken in to account we would return next January if we got a really good deal as we did this year, and hope for sunshine. We would keep to the off season periods so we missed the children next door and we would spend time on our balcony away from the cramped beds beside the pool.

This was our second visit to the Suite Princess which again was very enjoyable!
On arrival at Gran Canaria airport we had an unfortunate 90 min wait to get our luggage from the aircraft, this being due to the backlog from the previous sandstorm that hit the island.
However, on arrival at the hotel we were promptly checked in with a welcome arrival drink, the receptionist was friendly and courteous when allocating our room.
We had booked a deluxe junior suite and requested a high floor. We were not disappointed, the room was very tastefully decorated and the view was stunning. Our large balcony with two sun beds,a table & two chairs provided a quiet location to sunbathe & relax.
The hotel was very clean throughout, the sun beds were plentiful and there were numerous tables outside for lunch, drinks etc.
Although busy, the main dining room for breakfast & dinner was run efficiently by the staff. The choice of food was considerable and well presented. Wine by the bottle or half bottle was brought to the table.
The a la carte restaurant ( Culinarium ) was lovely, you are allowed 1 visit per stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
The piano bar was relaxing, the waiters were friendly & attentive, most “if not all” drinks were premium brand.
Taurito resort is reasonably quiet, there is a water park, several restaurants and gift shops outside the hotel, the hotel also offers transport to Puerto Mogán.
We would definitely return again!

This hotel is very clean, the staff very friendly.
We stayed on the second floor in a deluxe suite.
The suite had a large bathroom, large balcony with two sun loungers and a table with two chairs, a beautiful lounge area with a fridge & a separate bedroom with a large round bed, dressing table and built in wardrobes, with robes and slippers.
Each day, we received a large bottle of water.
The restaurant had a fantastic range for vegans/vegetarian, the food was delicious, so much so we didn’t even book the Al a carte, which other guests said was fantastic. Breakfast, plenty of choice, lunch was served in the restaurant by the poolside, which again had plenty of choice.
Plenty to do activity wise, if you wanted too & one of the pools was heated.
In the evenings, there is a piano bar or opposite various outside entertainment, followed by music to dance too until midnight.
I would recommend this hotel, we really enjoyed our stay & would return in the future.

I have stayed many times at this hotel so was surprised at what happened when I booked in. Despite paying for an upgraded room (suite) the receptionist allocated me a standard single room. After complaining I did get the room I paid for.
As this is now a Sensimar hotel there are exercise classes and was VERY impressed with the trainer Raule, who was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. In fact I have stayed at other Sensimar hotels and can honestly say she was the very best trainer I have had, even taking into account UK gyms!
However not much could be said for the other changes. Previously extra breakfast was available around the pool area, there is now a restricted lunchtime service, in fact everything else has gone down hill. All the drinks, i.e. tea, coffee, water, soft drinks, wines, beer etc, etc dispensers have now been removed from the pool restaurant and the sports bar. Previously if you wanted a drink you could get one at any time, NOW you have to get dry, dress and than go into the evening bar and QUEUE !!! sometimes for up to 10 minutes. There is no pool bar to replace all the facilities which have been lost. There is less staff about, tables not cleared, either at lunchtime or the evening. The evening entertainment in the Piano bar has deteriorated but I did like the special evening once a week around the pool area.
The other deterioration is the evening dress code. It is supposed to be smart dress and they do now allow shorts. However there were some extreme cases of inappropriate dress and flip-flops. Also this was the first time I had noticed cases of excessive drinking, in fact one lady was refused any more drink and 2 waiters had to help her back to her room.
There is still no cabana for people to change their swimming costumes, you have to go down slippery steps into the toilet which is always soaking wet and is dangerous.
I love the location of the hotel but it seriously needs to improve , at present it is going the wrong way.

We've just returned from an eleven night break in this hotel and we simply cant understand how this hotel has the rating it has . It's more like a 2 to 3 star hotel. Our room was extremely run down with wood chip wallpaper, beds pushed together and a bathroom right out of the eighties sitcom duty free, no power shower and a fixed glass shower screen which means to turn on either you have to climb into the bath which is not ideal. Rooms were cold at night and mornings with no heating and no blankets for the beds. Dinning room is like a canteen with luke warm food long queues on some evenings and rude and surly staff.
The entertainment is pitched at the older people in the hotel so for us we either went to bed early or played pool.
If you are under 55 please avoid as it seems to cater for elderly guests who return year after year and has a feel of a retirement village. We sat on sunbeds only to be told by one elderly guest that he had had the same sunbed for the last 8 years and we were sitting in his seat!
We met up with another couple who were our age and we were enjoying a drink in the bar and an elderly man came up to is and told us to Shut Up ! Charming . These serial returning guests seem to think it's their hotel .
All in all we would never return and feel that Tui need to be honest and change the rating to a 3 star . Would put it on par with the fictional Solana hotel in Benidorm.

This hotel is fabulous ! The suite has a 2 metre bed, settee, chair, TV, plenty of cupboard and shelf space, a safe, tea/coffee facilities, a balcony with table & chairs plus 2 substantial sun beds. The bathroom is slightly tired looking but loads of hot water and plenty of room with a shower, bath and bidet. The food is absolutely amazing with plenty of vegetarian/vegan choices. I never had the same meal twice in 14 days !! The breakfasts are great and the light lunchtime meals are fabulous. The kitchen and waiting staff are extremely hardworking and so pleasant. There is a separate restaurant with waiter service – also very good. There is a wellness centre and gym, hairdressers, beauticians and plenty of watersports if you are interested. There’s excercise classes, wine tasting, etc., etc. something for everyone if you want. There is a Theatre with various acts and also a very comfortable piano bar with a variety of musicians and also a beautiful and immaculate beach 2 minutes from your door. What’s not to like ? There are also quite a few whingers and moaners who seem to like nit-picking about everything which I feel is extremely unfair. It is almost impossible to please 600 people ( when full ) and cater to everyones tastes but I feel this place really does make a huge effort which I certainly appreciated and made for a fantastic holiday break.

Booked Christmas at this hotel thinking that it would be a good idea to be fed, watered and entertained without any problem. Boy were we in for a shock on arrival the hotel looked great and the concierge team were really on the ball. The room was a little dissapointing as we felt that the litrature is a bit mis-leading as we thought that the room was going to be a little bit bigger than it actually was but still OK.We went down to eat on the first night about 8:00pm and was surprised to find that the food was all cold even though it was on hot plates. We were then told that we needed to get here by 6:00pm when it is all put out then it should be hot. We ate out the following night and had a very good meal as we luckily know the area. Next evening was the "Gala Dinner" which we were told not to miss but again the food was really unedible we ended up complaing and were served with a fillet steak. Needless to say for the rest of the week we ate out. Happily the breakfast was passible but not lunch this was again like the dinner unedible. Entertainment which is one of the reasons for going was good but short lived it would come on at 9:00pm ish and be finished by 9:45pm then you were left listening to background music. Overall this would be our first and very last venture into an all inclusive package holiday with TUI. To sum it all up Hotel ~ Good location and staff were great, Food disgusting, Entertainment good but not enough of it the best thing for us was the weather.

So I can be a travel snob. yes I really can, we went to Gran Canaria to this resort (our first visit to a spanish island) and we had images of benidorm, brits on tour.. thanks channel 5 for those images. I was the total opposite of all of that. It is in a lovely location, a relatively small development of hotels built into the cliff's with a few local amenities, but this are is all about the all inclusive.
Hotel
Hotel is very nice, we stayed in 4004 a suite and it was huge, much bigger than we thought it would be, a lovely balcony which had the sun most of the day a nice bathroom and separate seating and sleeping area. room was showing some small signs of wear and tear, but it's a hotel for tourism so you expect it. Our room was cleaned well each day and the housekeepers actually do pay attention to the 'do not disturb' sign.
Pool & Beach
Pool is nice, heated and never crowded, can always get a sun lounger, even in the middle of the day. beach is a few steps away and is very clean, lovely powdery sand, beach has a few bars and gift shops.
Great for watersports.
Food & Drink
Breakfast and Lunch is very good, evening meal we found disappointing and sometimes frustrating, the food is all well cooked and tasty but it's a struggle to make a meal out of anything - that won't bother some but if you want your food to make sense you'll get what i mean. there is also a lack of 'local cuisine'
The Culinarium, where you can have one meal during your stay is OK. but just OK. small portions and it lacks atmosphere a restaurant that doesn't know what it is trying to be.
The drinks are good. you can order wine by the bottle anytime, and the local beer is good, branded spirits, very nice.
The sports bar, well it isn't a sports bar, To be a sports bar it must have two things.. a bar and sports. neither was there, a bit of a pointless underused space.
Staff
Very good at what they do, happy to help and are genuinely please your there.
If your looking for Dominican republic on a budget - Go Here.

Booked this as a last minute change due to being unable to go to Turkey. On arrival we were told that there was only 45 minutes left of the evening meal service so were given our wristbands and said we could sort out all the check in formalities after we had eaten as they didn't want us to miss the meal which was a nice touch.
When we got to our room we found that it had been made up as a twin. My partner went to reception to ask if the following day it could be made up as a double. Reception staff were straight on the phone to housekeeping who had the bed changed within half an hour. Bearing in mind this was nearly 11pm we thought this was great service.
Food throughout our stay we found to be of good quality and tasty. Lunchtimes could be a bit hit and miss but always found something we enjoyed.
We really did start to think we were at a different hotel when reading some of the reviews while we were there, With regards to the sunbed issue, at no point during our stay did we count less than 20 free sunbeds no matter what time of day. The only point I would make was that they were pushed together too much so the pool area was rather cramped which considering the other covid measures that were in place we found this quite surprising.
As mentioned, there were queues for a table at meal times and for drinks in the piano bar however the longest we queued was no more than 10 minutes. Queuing system at lunch time could be better organised as were getting mixed messages about if you need to queue for an outside table or for inside tables as well.
The hotel was clearly understaffed during the first part of our stay which lead to tables not being cleared as quickly as they could have been but they did bring in more staff as the fortnight went on which really did make a difference.
Rooms are a little dated but were very spacious as was the balcony which had a couple of sun loungers on which was lovely as we could chill on the balcony rather than round the pool if we wanted to.
Our initial room (8038) was very close to the staff lift which generated a fair bit of noise. We spoke to the rep (Kate) about this and we were found a quieter room very quickly. Also spoke to Kate for some other information regarding the local area and we found her to be very polite and helpful at all times.
On speaking to other guests it was clear that certain elements were very different than usual in particular the limited entertainment and the drinks not being self-service but this was understandable and did not affect our enjoyment at all.
Staff we found to be very friendly and helpful apart from a couple of the restaurant/bar staff.
All in all this was a lovely stay and much need break. We would return to this hotel if only to see what it is like in "normal" times.

Stayed in November 2021 after a very pleasant stay in November 2019.
While the cleanliness standards of the rooms and communal areas are still very high and the covid guidance and adherance to mask wearing and social distancing is well respected, the service standards and provision of certain refreshments have slipped.
In 2019 the beer on tap was San Miguel, however 2021 it was a cheaper beer that was harsher on the pallet and not a pleasant to drink. The wine at meal times was also not the same quality as that provided previously. Is this a cost cutting exercise due to Covid?
The drop in standards was very much evident at meal times. Tables were slow to be cleared and re-layed. Table service for drinks at meal times was slow and erratic with waiting staff focussing on other duties. The care of some of the staff was not evident. I noticed one waiter dropped cutlery when returning to the service station, Instead of coming back and picking up the dropped cutlery he walked past it many times during the 20 minutes myself and my wife ate out meal. Its was still there when we left our table.
We also had one wet lunch time where everyone wanted to eat at the same time. The waiting staff were completely overwhelmed and struggled to cope, resulting in several people clearing tables themselves and getting their own cutlery etc to enable them to get a meal.
I know these are little, nit-picky things, and didn't detract from a very pleasant holiday, but standards have slipped since 2019. Other guests who had previously stayed at the Suite Princess made similar comments to us while we were there.
It's still a good hotel to stay and its location for sunsets is 2nd to none. A great place to chill out and relax, management just need to address to issues and get the balance right between guest and staff numbers / availability and maybe not cut costs on the quality of the alcohol..

Hi. It’s called “Tropical”.
Hi, the last time we visited the rules had changed so that men could wear smart shorts, although lots still wore trousers.
No I don't think so, we usually collected a drink from the bar to take up to the room, I think you will find that is a Premium service.
