It was a pleasure to re-visit the Chateau (last stayed in 2007) on a recent drive-through France. We were warmly welcomed back by Patrick and Colette and made to feel comfortable once again in their wonderful family home. The Hydrangea suite was spacious and pretty with an air of faded grandeur - a lovely, old fireplace, beautiful stained glass window...

As a family with teenage girls aged 15 and 17, we were en route to the south of France looking for somewhere to break our journey which would offer a little luxury, a great start to our holiday and accommodation which would tick the box for everyone. We spent two nights at the Chateau, the first on a b&b basis...

I booked four of the five rooms at the beautiful Chateau Ribagnac for two nights to celebrate some family birthdays. We all had a fabulous time and loved everything about the place. From the moment we arrived, after the short 25 min drive from Limoges airport, we were made to feel welcome and at home. Patrick, Colette and their family...

We enjoyed your stay immensely; what a great family group all of you are - so much fun and it was lovely to have a touch of glamour too! Thanks for your stay. Warmest regards Patrick & Colette.

My partner and I have just spent our Summer holiday at the Chateau. It was a wonderful place to stay set in beautiful countryside. The Chateau itself is amazing and has been restored with love and care, but the absolute and utter pièce de résistance was Colette's cooking! We loved the evenings at the Chateau, it was such fun to...

A huge thank you to Colette, Patrick and kids for making us feel so welcome in your wonderful Chateau! The Chateau itself is amazing, such a magnificent building and set in the most wonderful countryside and a beautiful 'undiscovered' part of France. Colette and Patrick have worked so hard to get the Chambre D'hotes just right for everybody and have...

Thanks to the Prince family! We're so pleased you enjoyed your stay! Children do seem to love the independance of kids dinner and it was great to see them all getting along, catching crayfish and inventing new games. Come again, it was lovely sharing an aperitif and chatting into the evening.

The chateau is a great place from which to explore this relatively undiscovered area of France. The hosts are very nice and although we did not get to experience dinner, the breakfasts were lovely and full of local produce. We happened to spend a particularly cold night for end-September and we were a bit cold at night, but we understand it...

We're glad you liked the region - it's beautiful in Autumn - but the first cold weather surprised us all this year! After the heat of Singapore, the crisper evenings must be very different! We hope next time you're able to stay for dinner - we serve our younger guests earlier so that the grown-ups can have relaxed drinks and...

We were looking for a holiday that our kids would enjoy (13/10/6) but would also be relaxing for us. The reviews for Chateau de Ribagnac looked good and seemed to offer what we were looking for and I have to say we were far from disappointed. Patrick and Colette are wonderful hosts - you don't feel like paying guests, but...

Thanks for your review; we're thrilled you loved Ribagnac - we do too! There is a special atmosphere here in the summer, with the kids enjoying their "freedom" and having adventures and the adults soaking up the outdoors and then dining ouside under the stars....but it's the guests that make it special, so thank you and we look forward to...

We spent two weeks in one of the gites in the grounds of the chateau. We couldn't have had a better stay. The gite that we stayed in was perfect for my wife and I and our two year old daughter. It was large, comfortable and most importantly child friendly with a stair gate at the top of a single...

We stayed here on route to the south of France. There was also a large family party there celebrating a birthday. The chateau and rooms were spacious and the food was absolutely Michelin star. A charming couple Patrick and Colette, provided exceptional dining, canapés and aperitifs followed by 5 courses for 45 euros, excellent wines, it is superb value, far better than most dinners out, and meeting interesting people, a great night. Colette's great aunt was also fascinating talking about her life.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Chateau de Ribagnac is a country retreat in a beautiful part of France. The Chateau has been restored to provide modern comforts while retaining the charm of history. All our rooms are different, there are family suites and romantic rooms (one with a balcony) so choose the rooms that suits you. We have only five rooms so everything is friendly and you'll feel at home. We have been called the "fairy tale castle" in the press and have 36 hectares of land for you to explore. We welcome families and couples alike and serve tables d'hotes dinners, with children eating earlier and aperitifs served before dinner once the little ones are tucked in. We can cater for food allergies & most dietary requirements (please let us know in advance). ... more   less
