Had our ferry crossing cancelled and needed a place to stay for a couple of nights. managed to get in here on a deal. Great find. Room was in a 'new' block across the street -perfectly adequate nice bathroom with powerful shower. Free parking available. Very nice restaurant, lovely dinners and breakfast. Another restaurant across the road, looked nice but...

We stayed at la Glycine for one night while visiting Normandy. Our room was located in the annex across the road from the main building. The room was rather fresh, decorated in a classic way with a sitting area, and proper desk. The bathroom was small but sufficient for a couple of nights with a shower cabin. We elected to...

We visited La Glycine (for the fourth time), before our ferry crossing back to England. The first mouthful was a fishy amuse bouche- my husband said 'Mmmm wonderful, the best thing I've eaten in France this holiday'. The meal continued in this vein with the most delicious food. Waitresses and Maitre d were lovely but this place is popular and...

We had the Gastronomique Menu and although the food was excellent, the service became non existent after the cheese course, other tables had cheese and dessert whilst we were ignored! We asked for the bill, had no dessert and not an apology!

Arrived for overnight stay around 8.15pm after long day driving across France and was worried about getting a reservation for dinner. However, it was no problem and although restaurant looked full, we got a table for 9pm. Had the €39 set menu which was absolutely delicious. We were both really impressed with the excellent standard of food along with the...

With our ferry arriving at 21.30 we wanted somewhere conveniently close to stay for the night before our drive south, and we picked La Glycine because of the excellent reviews. It is only 10 minutes from the ferry terminal and only a couple of minutes off our route. The hotel and the village are beautiful, the rooms ideal and the...

Rather than catching the evening crossing we decided to stopover here and catch the morning ferry, which worked really well for us. 39Euro menu was very good indeed with choice on each course. Room was clean and felt recently refurbished, but with an easy maintenance rather than homely feel. Not a problem though and good value for money.

On arrival begrudgingly given the keys to the room we had booked but told no dinner was available as the restaurant was shut on a Sunday despite them accepting our booking throug the internet. However was able to have dinner at Maison Hastings across the road which was excellent. Pity we did not book in there for the night. Room...

We rode along a fully Tarmac cycle way (lights needed at night) to this hotel from the ferry, so perfect for cycle touring. Good location to Pegasus Bridge and museum with one of the paratroopers wooden gliders housed in it. The hotel is very nicely turned out, the room was very tasteful, clean, fridge with a beer in it -...
