We had a really enjoyable week here as a family of 3 - me, my husband (an avid surfer) and our 18 month old son. My husband drove down to the beach twice a day to surf and was really happy with the waves (first week in September). We hung out at the pool - the paddling pool is very...

We booked a superior house which was away from the pool area and looked out on to lovely wooded area. You could still hear the evening entertainment but it wasn't too loud and didn't go on past 11pm. Lovely cycle paths nearby which are off the road and very safe, bike hire is available on site. Restaurant was good, although...

I was travelling with my two sons for the European Championship football in Bordeaux. I had to meet my Uncle in the morning and i hadn´t seen him for 12 years. My son got sick and i didn´t have time to clean the room as i would have liked. They pinged me 80 Euros. How bad could it have been?...

The village is a couple of kilometres from the nearest town and a bit of a walk from the next hotel, so a car is needed if you want to go socialising. Buses and taxis are very rare. The nearest town has a nice collection of bars and restaurants. There is a very nice pool and pool area a small...

We stayed in this beautiful residence for a week in July. As veterans of the Pierre et Vacances chain, we concluded it was not as sprawling as some of their holiday villages meaning it had a nicer atmosphere but also managed to have everything required for a wonderful holiday. In particular, it is a fantastic place for families with kids....

We visited in early July when the season was just beginning. We'd been to two P&V places before and were a bit worried that Lacanau would be on the small side. The village exceeded all our expectations. The club for the kids was outstanding and both children insisted on going back for the second week. The restaurant was much better...

We have rented an appartment for 6 persons with a large terrasse and it Was not a déception ! An amazing view on the océan and only 50 meters from the beach. The appartment is nice but beds are tough... bring your own pillows. If you need family hollidays, beach, surf just go there. Last year we went to pierre...

So we've just got back from Lacanau village and had an awesome time! We booked a resort over an apartment etc because of the entertainment etc that the website mentioned was available at this site...however, most clubs and entertainment only run through the summer!! We were told it was out of season - in whit week? 😁 so this was...

Our first P&V holiday. Delighted that we were amongst the only non French in the resort at that time, and with our piecemeal French we shied away from using the kids club etc (the welcome event was exclusively in French). However the reception staff - especially the lovely Lucille made our holiday exceptionally easy and provided us with all the...

We wanted a French holiday and this was ideal. Lovely little house with all the benefits of a holiday park. The only downside was the lack of storage in the bedrooms. I'm sure this could be improved easily. The staff were lovely and the area very interesting. We spent days alternating between the pool, the beach, and the lake. The...
