Nice village hotel but the surprise was the amazing meals! The rooms were a good size and clean. Internet was good in most rooms except right on the top floor. Big suitcases are an issue as there Are no lifts so if your on the top floor it's a haul up to your room. Poolside service with drinks was OK... More

I would love to be able to give this place five stars (the owners are lovely, hardworking couple) but I'm afraid even three is a push. Restaurant is ok, we had dinners for two evenings, first mediocre, second great. Now the hotel...good, updated bathrooms, if only we slept in them! The rest is shabby, dirty, horrible carpets, certain stain coming... More

We ate here twice as the place was recommended to us. The food was excellent, well cooked and served very professionally with some very touches between the courses. Can recommend the fish, duck and steak as well as any of the local wines especially from Touraine and Cour Cheverny - both quite reasonably priced as well. Lovely garden terrace to... More

Nice friendly staff, rooms are overpriced, cooking is mediocre. Nice located with a spacious garden, not beautiful but very pleasant. Good, not big, swimmingpool; more than five peopleis too much. One of the better places because of its nice atmosphere.

We liked the very friendly staff, the constantly filled fresh fruit bowl and chilled water by reception, the extensive gardens, delightfully disorganized with plenty of nooks and crannies to sit or sleep in the shade. Do taste the wonderful croissants and home made jams for breakfast! Great choice of superbly cooked and presented fish in this heavily carnivorous part of... More

we booked this hotel last minute. It was a nice surprise. Nice place with a surprising garden, friendly staff. We have had a dinner at the restaurant of the hotel. It was a little overpriced compared to the quality of the food but we have had a real good service from the staff. I have had a morning run in... More

We stayed at the hotel as part of a cycling holiday and it was booked through the cycling tour operator. We had two nights there. One of the highlights is the beautiful and vast garden plus a pool. Chitenay is centrally located to visit a number of chateaux. The room we had was large and tastefully decorated although quite sparsely... More

This is an absolutely top class hotel. The level of service was a surprise and truly excellent. The room was basic but the newly renovated bathroom was excellent. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the staff. The biggest surprise of all however came at dinner time. This is a truly first class restaurant that would beat many hatted... More

A really pleasant hotel. Rooms are a little small and basic but service and friendliness are excellent. Great gardens and even better food. We are on a walking holiday and used a rest day to hire bikes from the hotel to go on a circular route while visiting Chateaux Cheverny. The hotel owner helped us plan the route for a... More

having been cycling all day it seemed a big ask to climb 2 steep flights of stairs but it was worth it. A kettle with a selection of fruit teas and coffee was most welcome and joy of joys a spa bath. The gardens were well laid out although the pool was covered. Dinner was very good although the service... More
