Hotel is located in the water and the room are clean and wide and the balcony is for the sunrise and the sunset and the hotel manager is always smiling at the clients, it is too cute. Breakfast is buffet. The service is perfect. If you want to chill by looking sunset or sunrise of the lake, you must choose this hotel SkyLake.
We spent 2 nights in the resort after staying in Yangon for 5 days, hence the title “A little bit oh Heaven”. All the huts (rooms) have a view of sorts. We asked if we could have a front row hut, and were moved the next day, which was great. Remember where you are, and forget the 3/4 star hotel in other parts of the world, enjoy this lovely, peaceful place, with such nice staff. We loved it. The resort is clean, both our rooms were very comfortable, food was nice.
Our room was very spacious with a patio and wonderful views across the lake. The shower included a curtain and toiletries. Conical mosquito nets were provided over the beds. The restaurant food was good and professionally served. Wifi connection was very poor. We had an evening's entertainment put on by the hotel staff and this was excellent. However, someone off-site decided to play music very loudly until 9pm; it started up again at 4am, resulting in poor night's sleep but not too bad the following morning. The first morning's breakfast selection was good - buffet style, including muesli and eggs cooked to order but on the second morning there was no buffet choice and no cereal. Access to this hotel is by boat and the ride was horrendous. We were unable to put on raingear or life jacket before starting up and then it was full pelt to hotel. Later we were taken by a shorter route to Mine Thauk village at a much more agreeable pace.…
amazing property with super amazing views. Located right on the lake. Friendly staff , good property and amazing feel. all you can feel around is lake and mountains. its very peaceful and quite. Would highly recommend it. One very minor thing missing is that rooms dont have aircons and fans. Understand that the weather remains pleasant but still there should be fans as it little hot during the day if not aircons as most of the resorts dont have aircons.
Nice and cool view. I don't go anywhere because a cup of wine and nature is very attractive to me. I can feel sunset view at my floating cottage. I love it. Nice staff, clean rooms, warmly services and location is peaceful and quite.
Such a welcoming, warm, helpful and nice staff, super clean rooms, extremely confy beds and the most amazing view over the lake. Recieved me with music, a welcoming drink, a huge smile and helped me taking care of everything during my stay, since sightseeing to transportantion to my next desyination. Great restaurant with amazing asian food and delicious breakfast. Thank you so much for making me feel at home. :)
I Have been to sky view in August 2018. Low season, very few guests. The location is peaceful and quite, the bungalow are huge and nice, the sunset view is really worth of it. The bathroom was clean and a little bit dated. A very important remark is that the resort is completely on the water with no connection with the earth. You can just move by boat to the earth. This mean that the dinner has to be in the resort restaurant and it's quite expensive (15-20 dollars per person). The dinners were good with excellent service. Breakfast very good and staff very kind. Wi-Fi free available just in the hall by asking to the desk. Anyway boat service is available but I don't suggest to use it on lake by night.
We were there in March. Pretty much alone except for a handful of other people. Food mediocre. Room very basic without good lighting and bathroom definitely needs upgrading. Staff friendly and did there best. We wound up leaving after our second night to go to a different property that was devine. This property is nicely located but lacks ambiance or comfort. Good views of the lake and sunset. Too buggy to be outside of your room at night. Very poor internet and no internet in your room.
This is an isolated lake resort hotel in the middle of the shore between towns at either end of the lake with separate room cabins and all facilities on piers above the war, and with good restaurant and bar facilities, and great views of the sunset. Very quiet and peaceful, and all movement is by boat to and from hotel in a great tourist area with excellent sights, temple, fishing and farming areas, and some truly beautiful temple areas. Only criticism I can make is that can be a bit chilly on winter mornings, but climate is generally great and were no bugs in dry season even though they provided mosquito nets.
This place needs some upgrading. The bathroom was very basic, no fan or air conditioning and lights so dull one was unable to read at night. The cracks in the floor were so large we could see the water under our cabin. Promised Wi-Fi did not work anywhere on the premises. On the plus side the meals were good and the staff very helpful.
