This is a pleasant hotel in a spectacular location. To get the best of this ask for a room with a view. we were travelling with a large group and it would seem that the rooms vary greatly some even have balconies. Our room was small with a tiny bathroom and only a view a yard and function dining room. Our air condiitioning was very noisy but at least we had it as some rooms did not and it was very hot.Breakfast was very good largely continental style but home baking and home made preserves. The view in the breakfast room was spectacular. The manager was helpful despite speaking no English and we had limited Italian. We spent 2 nights here and had set dinner on one of these ,it was substantial 6 courses very tasty but we needed to go for a walk afterwards. All of the staff were very pleasant and friendly despite our language difficulties. As we were travelling by coach and it couldn't get up to the hotel the manager arranged to collect those with mobility difficulties and transport them in his own car.…
The room was really out dated and needs improvement. Tiny bathroom with cracks in the concrete. During our last night a cochroach walked the bathroom floor. The breakfast is very simple and the coffee is not recommandable. We didn't visit the swimmingpool as this is 800 meters away at the private villa of the owner. This hotel is in a very, very small village in the middle of nowhere but....provides rest and quiet
We've booked at hotel belvedere for 1 night through smartbox. The room was nice and clean with great view. Good breakfast and friendly staff. But then I find it strange that the restaurant was close at friday night.
The cook is very special. The manager is the top, very professional but also very friendly. I spent a week and I feeled very good. The view s wonderful. You can use free bike. Not only breakfast with a lot of choise, but also an high cuisine!
We discovered this village & hotel quiet 5 years ago And quiet each time we come to Italy, we make a stop before going further. The village 1st is worth to come. Located in the hilly Piemonte, on the top of a hill, the view is... Fantastic on the wine yards and the region. Then, the hotel: simple, comfortable, professional team... Fine. Do not expect a luxury place, it is a simple one. In summer when hot, you can have access to the village pool. We like to come and stop here. Last time, I run in the wineyards trails arround, It was fantastic.
A lovely place to stay - great atmosphere, wonderfully friendly owner who went above and beyond the call of duty (including staying up all night to welcome us back in case we needed anything - we, together with many other guests, were at wedding).
Great site, atmosphere and sense of kindness. You will be cared for, sleep, tummy and food(!) and views. Something of what Italy was once like! Go for eating in, enjoy view and atmosphere and local speciaiities.
Only qualms I had were that it was cold and the blanket was thin. My girlfriend was shivering through the night and there was no heater. The place is a little old, and I didn't meet any staff that spoke English. My largest concern was that they kept my passport over our entire stay. The passport was stored openly right behind their counter behind the front door. I dislike this because a passport is not necessary, and is not important to them if they lose it, but extremely problematic if we don't have it when we want to return to our country. I don't believe they have the right to keep it. But the guy doesn't speak English, and he wouldn't let us keep it.
We spent four nights at this hotel as a base for excursions around the wine districts. We got a very nice room with lovely views over the valley and a small balcony. The restaurant deserves an extra score where we got a few delicious and affordable meals. Highly recommended!
This 3-star hotel is in a small village. The rooms were very clean, beds excellent and facilities included air-conditioner (not needed during our stay in September) and a bar fridge. There is a lift for all except the top or third floor, which has rooms in the roof space - watch out for the sloping ceiling - that required your luggage to be carried up one level. We did not dine in the Michelin-recommended restaurant attached to this hotel, nor did we use the swimming pool (not located at the hotel). The breakfast room has a panoramic view of the surrounding vineyards and you can see the other nearby villages from here. The breakfast is typical for Italian-hotels and we found the person (owner perhaps) helping the morning we were there to be very hospitable.
