This is a magical oasis in the center of Saint-Jean-du-Gard. The moment you enter off the street, the beauty and tranquility of the garden is overwhelming. The lovely hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, and there is an attention to detail in all facets of this wonderful Bed & Breakfast. With character and style, the rooms felt like they had...

Why is it when we travel, extremes of weather come with us? Arrived at Virginie and Roddy's B&B in frying temperatures - in early MAY. Oh well, not to worry. Virginie put us in the room with the eastern exposure, so we were saved the long, hot afternoons of blazing sun. Also, the thick, old stone walls insulated the building...

We found this beautiful b&b via the tourist office on the day. Beautiful old house with 4 rooms, nice breakfast, lovely peaceful gardens and nice big dog called Shep. The house is only 2 minutes from centre of the small village which was a bit quiet in April regarding restaurants as most were closed on a Thursday. Virginia was a...

A pleasant village which serves as the southern gateway to the Cavennes. We can't praise this accommodation enough. Lovely location, quiet and very peaceful, especially the breakfasts in the garden. Our room was lovely and well equipped (soap, shampoo, hair dryer etc). Virginie and Roddy made us really welcome in their lovely home. Great value B&B.

We arrived at St Jean du Gard hours later than anticipated--so late that we missed our reservation at another inn. We literally happened upon the proprietor on the sidewalk, and she graciously took us in. We had been walking all day from Ales on the Stephenson Trail, and when we missed our reservation at the other inn, we also missed...
