We had a lovely welcome The hotel is charming and the owner makes every effort to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. We had a large room at the front of the hotel. From our balcony we could watch the sun setting over the sea. The hotel is very near the beach, local shops and restaurants. We twice yisited the...

This is a classic French resort hotel that has been well maintained and retains it's period charm. My room was amply sized for one or two and very comfortable. Obviously a lot of effort had been made to retain it's period charm while at the same time providing all the modern conveniences. My room had a balcony with a view...

We booked for 5 nights but extended our stay for another night. The hotel has been in the family for three generations and it's charming owner made us very welcome. We enjoyed our breakfasts, plenty of fruit and different pastries. We were fascinated by the many lobsters and crabs being sold across the road, some of enormous size. The hotel...

A hotel which has undoubtedly had its grand moments, and retains its 30's charm. Agatha Christie would have been at home here. We had an enormous room with windows on two sides, both looking towards the sea. The hotel is situated up above the shore, part of which is sandy beach, part rocks uncovered at low tide. We enjoyed watching...

We were met by Catherine who was absolutely charming, showed us to our room, got us some help with our luggage and explained about late entry and the secure car park. The situation of the hotel was somewhat surprising as it gives the impression that it is right on the beach and this is borne out by the photo of...

This is the kind of hotel we really enjoy. Very quiet (no crowded "all-in" situations), with wonderful views from most of the rooms. The building itself needs a little paint on the outside, but the rooms are very nice. Good beds. breakfast is French but OK, so don't expect an English or Irish breakfast. More than 10 different "home made"...

This is a typical 1920`s hotel of which there are many in France. It was clean and the beds good..we slept well. BUT it was rather spoilt by the welcome we got from a rather manipulative lady! She pointed out our shoes were dirty (they were not!) , our car was badly parked, that we could only eat if we...

This is a very tired looking place. We had a fab room overlooking the front, very roomy and comfortalble. A tip, take a kettle and bottled water to your room to make your own tea or coffee. We ate out every day and night and the local food in the town of St. Gille was amazing. We did not even...

Just wanted a place for a good sleep and I was greatly surprised to find that this hotel actually has Hästens beds, famous in Scandinavia but not very known in France. When I travel for business I often have to suffer terrible hotel beds when the only thing I really need (beside cleanliness) is to have a good night sleep.

We stayed here as we wanted to spend a few days in the area Really old style hotel, room was fantastic with balcony overlooking sea, brilliant continental breakfast, lots of home made jams and real tea. Really clean and nothing too much trouble, they served us breakfast before the restaurant was open as we had to depart for an early...
