We had some reservations about staying here at first, after reading the (really old) previous reviews on here - but it turned out our stay at the Riviera was almost faultless! The staff spoke okay English so it was relatively easy to make queries and they rang taxis for us with no problem at all. I was having a parcel delivered there during my stay and they collected it and kept it safe until I returned in the evening. Our rooms were absolutely fine for the price that we paid, with a safe, a shower, air-con, a minifridge and plenty of cupboards and drawers for storage. The only downside was that the free wifi was a bit patchy, and we dropped off it a few times, and we found it was much better down on the ground floor. The included breakfast was delicious every morning, with a selection of pastries, toast, meats and a variety of cereal. Plus the cappuchinos were absolutely brilliant! The location of the hotel was fine for Linate airport (a stone's throw away), but not so good if you wanted to look around Milan. We caught a train from nearby Segrate station and took that into the city centre (about 30-35 minutes ride on a very regular service). Overall my four friends and I enjoyed our five night stay at the Riviera and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay close to the airport in future!

I stayed in this hotel for 2 days. Rooms are really small but that's ok for me. There is no wi-fi at the second floor so if you want to connect to the internet you gonna need a cable. Ask the receptionist to give you one. He is friendly and he speaks english. Breakfast? Don't expect too much. The variety is really small. Quantity too. Try a capuccino! There's no restaurant in this hotel so if you are hungry you can order a pizza!

Unbeliveable BAD. the so called breakfast was one of the worst i have ever experienced. The stale white bread was non edible The jogurts were the cheapest quality . The cereal was the cheapest brand of cornflakes and bran available. The cheese was all prepacked plast cheese and the salami section was not worth taking the risk with. the fruit was old and was probable reduced at the shops no eggs, no choice of bread The staff. Were rude, moody and surly. The lady on the breakfast counter was one of the rudest and unhappy people i have ever met. I almost had to beg for a coffee, which she repeatedly got wrong and in the end i just drank whatever she could be bothered to make. I asked for some more cheese , as she had not replaced it from the previous guests, she brought a selection basket over and then hovered over me, giving me attitude and making sure i didnt take more than 2, The rooms, were dated and i guess they havent been decorated for 20 years. the shower was broken, the furniture and bedding ancient the hotel is next to a dual carriageway and the noise is constant. if you are looking for a hotel near linate airpot then this is NOT an option. the parking facilities were non existent. The internet connection continuly stopped and i had to go to reception to reactivate. Overall DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL

I stayed here for business, and my partner joined me for a holiday. The hotel is well located for the Linate airport, and has a bus stop just outside which takes you into central Milan (approx 40 mins). The hotel itself was average, the room was comfy and clean with free internet (using a cable), however it lacks a restaurant - and there is only one real choice in the area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and went out of there way to make sure that my partner enjoyed her time, and was given good advice on places to visit in Milan.

Stayed at Hotel Riviera for one night prior to an early flight out of Milan Linate airport the next day. Pros: Close to airport (5-10 min drive) Excellent service - staff spoke enough English to get by Bathroom and beds were clean Cons: Wi-fi available, but only free in lobby Furniture in lobby was covered with dog hair or something Room was well worn, furniture and walls stained and scuffed Requested a non smoking room, but smoke came through from someone else's room Overall this place was okay to stay for a night when flying in or out, but I would not recommend it for an extended stay. Price was 81 Euros-- okay for a European hotel, but I've stayed in better for cheaper
