Along with several close members of family had to get to Laxe at short notice (same day) from the UK for a family funeral. Being out of season nothing was open, the owner opened up for us & waited at the funeral home & made sure we arrived safely. The hotel is basic but for the money is more than...

The hotel itself is fine - nothing too fancy but practical and clean, the room was nice, comfy beds & pillows, good cupboard space for clothing & luggage. Overall, great value for money (at 38€/night for a twin room). The most unusual thing about this place is the owner: he is extremely "hands-on": constantly giving suggestions and advice on things...

We called in the Hostal Bahia on our voyage along the Costa Del Morte. This is a fine clean well run facility conveniently overlooking the pretty harbour and the beach. The staff took time to help us enjoy the area making the most of our stopover. Muchos Gratias!

On arrival the owner gave us keys to look at 2 rooms - one very very small at €50 and this one - one of the oldest tricks in the...

Manola went out of his way to make my 2 day stay after walking the Portuguese Camino and then Coasta da Morte a great end to my Galician adventure. He took me on a personal tour, made me welcome and organised transfers back to Santiago. Thanks Manola.

Absolotuely excellent hostel accommodation at reasonable cost located in the centre of town and handy for all amenities, restaurants etc. Manolo, the owner, was incredibly helpful and went to great lengths to make us feel at home in Laxe. He also runs a small cafe with the most delicious tapas etc...
