We didn't stayed in this hotel but we came here to eat several times. Local very tasty food, huge portions, fresh, homemade. Very good staff (very friendly and helpful), they try to speak your language, reasonable price. Highly recommend if you stay in the region!

This charming hotel lies in a small village of only 50 people. It is ideal for those who like hiking and explore the northern part of the Eifel and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Staff is extremely friendly. Rooms are very clean. The restaurant is very cosy and the food is superb (try game or trout). Very, very...

Such a peaceful location which reeks of secret history. This hotel is a gem. The rooms are comfortable with all facilities you might expect, but it is several steps above your average hotel. Both dinner and breakfast were lovely. The steak at dinner rates amongst the best I have tasted anywhere and the bearnaise sauce was sinfully beautiful. If you...

My husband and I have been visiting this area for many years but had not been for a while so relished the opportunity to stay at the Talschenke mid March. The hotel is clean comfortable and we were made most welcome. The restaurant serves traditional German food and was delicious, beware though, the portions are on the generous side. Thankfully...

This hotel was recommended to us by a good friend who visited the area to walk around some of the historic walks. The hotel is picture perfect and the staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Their English was very good. Our room was warm and rustic, very clean with a good sized bathroom. The breakfast was continental style with...

Simonskall is a little village (10 houses) 4 hotel and an good spot to eat cake. Talschenke is one of the hotels. German hospitality not fancy. The rooms are spacious a good bed. The restaurant is fine. We have been here three times now would be more but it's often full.

We stayed 3 days and had a big room, with a separate corner for our son. Breakfast and dinner were really good and plenty, and even our son, with his vegetarian wishes, got what he wanted. The hotel is very quiet, as Simonskall lies in a quiet and beautiful valley, almost without traffic. There are many trails, some of them...

We have stayed here several times since 1999, and always love it here. A quiet little village away from it all, but ideal for a place to stay in the Eifel, lots of places to see and things to do nearby, though you will need some transport. The staff are friendly, the food is excellent, the location is amazing. The...

I found this hotel on the internet by accident and was immediately charmed by it's pictures and description. When we arrived early in the morning we were greeted very pleasantly and we could go to our rooms rightaway. The rooms were spacious, clean and had very comfortable beds, the view from our rooms was great (rooms 10 + 12). We...
