A conveniently located little hotel (you don't have too many options in Stolberg or in the area). The historic oldtown begins right across from the hotel, a nice walk all the way up to the Burg on the hilltop. The hotel itself offers very basic facilities, and isn't super cheap but i guess this is what you can call "günstig"...

The location is great: parking across the street (with free pass provided by the hotel; pedestrian zone with shops, cafes, a few eating places. But the old town is just around the corner with many restaurants along the river (in side streets) or up the hill to the castle. The hotel is a non-distinct building that offers what a travelers...

Parking is in a secure car park 50 metres away - the desk clerk will give you a ticket. The room was spacious, very clean and well appointed. Complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer...

The rooms are larger than average for European hotels and the furnishings appear very new and in good condition. The staff was helpful and the breakfast...

The hotel looks newly renovated. My room was spotlessly clean and well furnished - large double bed, desk and a couple of chairs. Windows you can open are a pleasant change. The bathroom is again spotlessly clean - with a large whirlpool bath with a shower attachment for washing your hair - but no shower. It loses a few marks...
