Where do I begin...We spent 3 nights in Brunia cabin to celebrate our anniversary. We were welcomed with a bottle of bubbly and Ferrero Rocher to start off our little vacation, which was a great touch! This place is a real hidden gem in the mountains! Peaceful, relaxing, and kitted with all the essentials that you will need for your...

Sadly we only spent one night at this exceptional place. A warning - they are booked up almost a year in advance! There is clearly a reason for this: it is absolutely wonderful. From the clever layout to the kitchen with everything you need (including fresh farm butter and eggs!), to the welcoming warm hot tub on the outside porch....

Stayed in the King Lodge for 1 night, log fired hot tub was a great way to spend the evening watching the stars and listening to the lions across the valley. Beds and linen were excellent and the kitchen has everything you could want including a log fired pizza oven. Definitely coming back one day.

I have been trying to get a booking for KolKol for a couple of years and every time I have wanted to book they have been fully-booked. So it was the best anniversary gift when my boyfriend managed to get us a booking at the last minute. My boyfriend dealt with making the booking and said that the staff were...

Kol-kol has all the ingredients for a romantique week-end in the mountain side, especially if you're a lover of nature and appreciate quiet places. The hot tub makes such a difference and adds a magical touch. The cabins are well appointed and most comfortable, cosy and suitable for couples, friends or family. The owners are very hands on and this...

Kolkol is a very popular place. You'll see when you visit their website and try to find an available date! We stayed there in August last year and I had booked that in January 2016. The wait is worth it! Each cottage is very well appointed and offers enough privacy that you feel secluded without being too far from others....

The hot tub was amazing. I was however, very surprised that KolKol does not offer recycling or composting. I think most of it's guests would compost and recycle at home, so it seems strange that they wouldn't offer this. As the wooden cabins are based in a mountainous area, and surrounded by stunning views of nature, composting in particular seems...

We travelled as 3 couples and stayed in Kol Kol Cabin. It was great to only travel just over an hour from Cape Town city, and reach this hidden gem - away from all the hustle and bustle. We were supplied with some lovely rusks, eggs, etc - and not to forget the huge heap of wood for the braai...

O wow what an amazing place! We stayed in the Bugsy cabin, which we loved, it's very private and you have your own little waterfall and pond right under your nose. The cabin is cosy with everything that you need, including a fireplace, huge tub with stunning views, and a hot tub. Some personal touches was not overlooked, from the...
