Hotel Volendam offers you the best of two worlds. it provides teh oerfect retreat between citi and nature. Enjoy a fabulous lunch or dinner, a confortable night's rest in one of our room. Our hotel, bar & restaurant and swimmingpool are currently open. Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM and dinner is served from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Health and safety measures are taken to guarantee our guests a safe service. Room service is also available free of charge. IMPORTANT: Please note that due to the current COVID-19 situation, both breakfast and dinner and swimmingpool must be reserved.

Booked this hotel for 1 night and wasn’t disappointed, not to hard to commute from Central Station on bus 316, we purchased a regional travel card from the airport this covered all our travel for the length of our visit. The food and bar was excellent with great service our room was spacious and clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel as you get much more for your money than in central Amsterdam

Well located outside the town of Volendam (only minutes drive away). A perfect location for touring also around the villages of Monnickendam and Broek in Waterland. Spacious room (luxury twin) but if you stay on the 4th floor, the balcony may be a bit disturbing (obstructed view and not isolated. photo attached). The room was clean, the breakfast was excellent and staff are very friendly. Did not like the sink and tap in the bathroom. Very uncomfortable. When checked some travelers pictures of other rooms, we noticed different fixtures so it might be more useful if the sink is improved. Lack of a "Business Center" (computer and printer) for personal use.

nice hotel with what you expect from van der valk. no complaints however located a little distance from the marina and volendam sites so best to keep in mind if you cannot walk far or have children. Possible to catch bus as it stops directly outside hotel, ask for room not facing the road

We were not at all satisfied with this hotel. It looks old and worn out. Our room (standard) was ok size-wise and the bathroom was nice and clean. The furniture in the room itself however was worn out and the beds were not the comfy beds that we are used to sleep in at hotel Van der Valk properties. The airconditioning made a LOT of noise but it didn't work. There was another annoying noise from some kind of ventilation throughout the building, and the room couldn't be darkened enough despite the wooden shutters. The whole hotel needs to be refurbished. Price-quality ratio was not in balance compared to the newer Van der Valk hotels.

We asked the reception for toothbrushes as on the website, it is stated that Toiletries are provided, but were told that they have run out. And that there was no way for anyone in the hotel to help resolve this problem. We are a family of 4 and we all went a day and night without brushing our teeth. It is pretty ridiculous that a hotel can run out of something as essential as toothbrushes, it's as bad as saying the hotel ran out of toilet paper or towels and the staff can't do anything to help.

With friends and on bikes we enjoyed a very nice stay in Noord-Holland. We stayed at hotel in Van Der Valk Akersloot and Van Der Valk Volendam. Both hotels were excellent. We highly appreciated the airco system in Akersloot. We've seen that more and more people are visiting the airea on a bike. We would appreciate that hotels give more save parking place for stalling bikes. We hope that this is seen as a recommandation.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Although located in Volendam (5 minutes by car to Volendam or Edam centre and 15 minutes to Marken) I would still recommend it to people visiting Amsterdam since a bus trip to Amsterdam's central station takes only 20 minutes. Being outside Amsterdam's centre this hotel offers more benefits than hotels located in the busy city centre, it offers free parking and much larger than usual rooms which also come with balconies overlooking the country side. Rooms are also very clean and peaceful.

A very nice hotel, ideally situated for enjoying North Holland. The hotel is a little bit expensive but the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. I would stay again - both in this hotel and others in the chain. The only minus again is the cost - the Volendam hotel is more expensive than other Van der Valk hotels we have stayed in.

Although this hotel is isolated from the two close by towns, there is bus service that goes right outside the hotel and they also have bike rental. I'd suggest you book ahead. Bus 316 runs right from the AMS Central Station so very handy. Volendam and Monnickendam are nice little villages and lots of biking around that area. Van Der Valks always serve an awesome huge breakfast buffet. Sauna and pool are nice.

We were prepared the Hotel was undergoing major refurbishment, which meant some disruption. Pleasantly, there was no hindrance, and the hospitality didn't faulter. The minor inconvenience of an entry via the restaurant was overcome. Staff were friendly, warm, and helpful. Our room was well appointed, spacious, and comfortable.
The breakfast buffet was a wide spread of local favourites, with a good choice of bread, cold cuts, and fruit.
The dinner menu selection was adequate, tasty with large portions and promptly served.
