After watching Downton Abbey and the beautiful huge homes, I felt like I should be greeted by a butler! This castle is very comfy, the August temperature is perfect for daily country driving. The city of Vaals has just celebrated their newly redone main street. We walked to dinner two nights, enjoying pizza at a very modern Pizzeria Bellissima and...

We (my wife and 2 young children) stayed at Hotel Castle Bloemendal for one night back in March 2014 whilst visiting my Aunt who lives nearby. We stayed in a Suite with four poster bed and a separate living room. Plenty of space for all of us to spend the night in splendour! The hotel is situated in beautiful grounds...

A fantastic old Castle style hotel. Very close to the German border town of Aachen. Beautiful bedrooms with fantastically comfortable and large beds. Large bath and separate large shower. Very comfortable room with plenty of space, and your own small outside patio. Staff were excellent, polite & helpful. Large free carpark. Free Wifi. A wonderful Feast for Breakfast.

I have regularly stayed in this hotel over the last 3 years and so thought about writing a review just to let everyone know what a great job the management and staff do. The building is great and has magnificent views. Some rooms have been a bit dated but they have been renovated this year. The food is outstanding and...

beautiful building in a nice small town right on the border between Belgium, Holland & Germany (I ran through all 3 countries in less than 10km which looked good on STRAVA!) rooms are big and well equipped but a bit old fashioned. To be fair the management left a note on the dressing table stating that up-grading was taking place...

The castle rooms are very nice and comfortable. finally a hotel with real good pillows on the bed. The room was very spacious and makes you feel royalty. Even though the hotel was a building site at some areas, they sure knew how to camouflage it. Then there is the restauran. What a joy!!! Superiuour wines and Michelin star food....

Surprising hotel, undergoing renovations as we speak. Agreed (I thought) with the night staff that 8 a.m. would be the earliest for the workmen to start making their much-needed noise. Surprise! It was 6:34 a.m. when my walls were being plastered from the outside, a very strange way to wake up indeed. A quick call to #9 desk led to...

My newly wedded husband and I got a 2-night stay at this hotel as a present from my parents. We had purchased an upgrade and upon arrival received a free upgrade to a tower suite. It was located near reception and had a great view over the romantic garden. The room had a very clean and authentic bathroom and a...

I just spent one night in this lovely castle hotel. I got a last minute deal for only €60. We were upgraded to a beautiful room. The staff was very accommodating. I will certainly be going back. Located very close to Aachen.

We stayed here with another couple during a trip to the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa Francorchamps. The hotel is situated in the Netherlands but is only 500m from the German border where it also meets Belgium, so on the day of the Grand Prix we had breakfast in the Netherlands, lunch in Belgium, and popped into Aachen in Germany...
