The management was friendly and kind, but that aside, the room was terribly dated (back to the 1970s) , and the room smelled of stale smoke. We had our dog with us, and as such were forced to take a ground floor room, and the only one available was a smoking room. Wasn't smoking in hotels q thing of the...

3 of us stayed here while on a snowmobile trip. We wanted affordable accomadation which it was. We found the new owner friendly. He said that they are working on upgrading rooms. Our rooms were clean but are dated which we didnt really care. The beds were comfortable and clean. There is Shaw go wifi and also a hotel wifi...

The room was comfy and relatively clean, front staff was super unfriendly and made me feel like they were squeezing every penny they could. If you're looking for a cheap (ish) stay with a comfy bed and tv then it's good, other than that don't expect much. Also, the first rooms you pass going to yours are all smoking, which...

New Management were very friendly and I knew right away that they will make a go of it. I arrived early and wanted a sneak peak at the room (I was wary of previous reviews). To my relief, while the room was not yet ready, the room smelled good and was stripped down ready to be made up. When I...

Booked directly with motel on Tuesday night for the same weekend stay (Friday and Saturday nights). Then early Thursday morning I phone motel directly again to cancel as we were not attending. The motel still charged me 96.00+ for one night because they stated I didn't give them 48 hours notice. I was not advised at my time of booming...

Strong smoky smell in non-smoking room. Dirty bath room floor, tub, tile and tap. Terrible wifi. Owner charged "rack rate" for the room which is outrageous for what you get . There are better motels in Blairmore, don't bother with this. Big thumbs down.

When we travel we are not always looking for a 3 or 4 star hotel. It is amazing what you get for $80 in one town compared to $80 in another. This one is on the old side but was clean. Liked the little details like a bowl of candy in the room. There is no complimentary breakfast something we...

We booked a room with a queen bed with flat screen tv the night before and we were definitely not expecting much at this low price. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, but everything was very old. When we arrived, they told us we couldn't have the queen bedroom and got a 2 double beds instead. We Should...

I can forgive much, but taking advantage of travellers by over charging is where I definitely draw the line. Posted rates were much lower and when I called the front desk she even gave me alower rate. When I checked in with the owner though, he decided to take advantage of us and charge almost 50% over the regular rate....

“Stay on the upper floor if possible. Its an old, creaky hotel. The guy upstairs sounded like a freight train. However, I slept very comfortably with ear plugs.”

“We stayed on the top floor in a 2nd to end unit - so maybe that was a more quiet location?”
nirt, 5 Aug 2014 | Read review
“It's off the main highway so the noise is low. I believe they still have smoking rooms available, so you may need to be a little choosy if you are sensitive. Also, the place fills up fast with people working in the area from out of town. Not too much parking, but there is a lot of street parking around the building.”
