An old house with lots of charm, situated in a quiet secluded location accessed by either a ferry from Corran to Ardgour costing £8.20 (car + passengers) each way, or a round trip from the main Fort William to Mallaig road on single track roads. Your host Norrie is charming and will make you tea/coffee on request. (There are no...

Thanks for your review. We do live in a remote rural location which is what most of our guests enjoy. I hope you went on to have a happy holiday. Anna & Norrie.

Late autumn was the perfect time to make a visit to Ard Daraich Gardener's Cottage. Nestled in the most amazing garden the property was immediately inviting. As we entered, I sensed we'd made a fabulous choice in coming here. Everything was available to make the cute and cosy cottage the perfect place to come home to after exploring the stunning...

Norrie and Anna made our three night stay very homely and memorable. Norrie provided a spectacular breakfast spread each morning, with many home-made goodies and was extremely generous with his time and shared a lot of local knowledge with us. The roaring fire was particularly welcome given how cold and damp it was last February. The large hillside garden was...

Thank you for your kind review and we are very sorry if you were unable to sleep well. I wonder if there was something we could have done to make your nights more comfortable? Always a good idea to ask and then we have a chance of seeing if we can put things right. With best wishes.

We spent 4 days at Ard Daraich in late June 2015. A little rest and rejuvenation was needed before we started touring the Highlands. We got a bit lost on finding the location but after asking some of the most friendly local people we were pointed in the right direction and found Ard Daraich. A nice welcome by Emmanuel who...

We've stayed in the self catering cottage for two weeks, what a beautifull and relaxing place that is. Two weeks is to short here and time flies but only the peninsula deserves more time to be spend there so much wildlife and flowers en the most amzing skies. And then there is the rest of the highlands Glenn Goe, Skye,Mull,...

We stayed at Ard Daraich last month during our trip to the Highlands and we couldn't have asked for a better B and B. The house and surrounding garden are beautiful and such care has been taken to make it an inviting home for guests (note log fires each evening and fresh bluebells in the bedroom). Anna and Norrie are...

Just one B&B night stay here but very enjoyable. Unexpected trip on a ferry to get there ..that was fun! Great peaceful location. We were greeted with a cup of tea and a wood burning fire in the sitting room. Quaintly comfortable bedroom with bathroom next to it. (toiletries supplied) We took a walk around the garden which was fabulous...

We have just returned from our two week honeymoon at Ard Daraich Cottage and couldn't have chosen anywhere better. The cottage is superb - tastefully decorated with beautiful finishing touches of Anna's artwork, an eclectic library and beachcombed items. The owners have thought of everything to make the day-to-day as easy as possible so there is more time to spend...

Stayed here for a week recently. We were very lucky with the weather and remember he choice of cottage. The location and the cottage are fantastic. It is very clean and well kept, well furnished with good facilities throughout. I would thoroughly recommend it. A couple of points to note as of writing this article there isn't a shower and...

Thank you for your kind review. We are sorry if you missed a shower but with a private water supply we are unable to provide reliable high pressure to make this part of our selfcatering. As for broadband, Ardgour is blighted by a slow service and so we are unable to offer better coverage. There is a desk for guests...

Amazing cottage, gardens, area and owners. Very friendly owners of the cottage who go out of their way to help in any way. Very environmentally friendly place to stay. Dog friendly and so relaxing. “I'd feel undelicate if posting pictures of the rooms, I'll only say that everyone has so beautiful details that is difficult to choose one. All of them are quiet, warm and gorgeous.”

“My general tips for the cottage would be to pack plenty of appropriate clothing for the variety of weather and plenty of provisions for self catering as the local shops and restaurants are fairly limited (which is part of the charm of the area and a good thing!)”
