With its own entrance, patio and garden, this is a perfect, secluded "gettaway" within easy striking distance of London, for anyone seeking solace and/or a very well connected base from which to explore the surrounding area -- Salisbury and the many places of interest. You effectively have the wing of a farm house with a lovely sitting room downstairs and...

I would love to have time to stay longer in this peaceful haven of tranquility . The rooms are very private and comfortable with all the advantages of being self-contained but without the hassle of cooking your own breakfast ! Harriet does that for you, an accomplished and friendly hostess who has the gift of making the extra work of...

When our car broke down in Dinton, we were beyond relieved to be taken in by the Coombes at the very last moment, and at great inconvenience to them. This place is a true delight, as are the people who run it. After a stressful afternoon, to sink into a hot bath and then feather duvets and pillows was absolute...

I can truly recommend the Duck Yard to anyone. Some things stood out: The quietness – after an intense day at the Chalke Valley History Festival, we needed to relax and chill. Here, the only thing you heard was bird song... The privacy – we had our own parking and access to the Duck Yard wing, so no need to...

There is only one word to describe our stay at The Duck Yard - "hygge". If you are a scandinavian you will immediately understand this, if not google it :) The concept of hygge means cosy - Duck Yard has heaps of it! The downstairs living area complete with a woodburning stove, comfy armchairs to fall asleep in, tea /coffee...

Really loved this place, especially as the bluebells were putting on a spectacular show in the woods just behind the house - a short walk felt like stepping straight into a Monet painting. Comfortable sitting room, superb breakfasts and easy going, hospitable hosts and friendly labradors and hens. Quiet location, one OK pub within walking distance. No proper shower and...

We stayed at The Duck Yard for two nights while visiting family in Salisbury for a celebration. Welcomed by Peter with a reviving cup of tea and slice of delicious Simnel cake on arrival, we soon settled in to our warm and comfortable guest annex. The accommodation comprises a sitting room (with wood-buring fire, comfy sofas, chairs, television and tea...

Two friendly dogs that you can take walkies, chicken's who lay your breakfast eggs and a setting to soothe ones soul. Splendid stay, just a crying shame i'd only...
