In the ancient Baglio, an old farm house, you will discover the typical sicilian colours, scents and tastes. Agriturismo Vultaggio is located between Erice and Marsala, sorrounded by citrus and olive groves, vineyard; in front of Egadi isles and Mothia. Only 10 minutes far from Marausa Lido beach. Our restaurant, from 2001 on Osterie d'Italia (Slow Food magazine), Foodies (Gambero Rosso magazine), has been focusing on Slow Food philosophy. We use only products from our crops, local products and Sicilian Slow Food (Pistacchio from Bronte, lentils from Ustica, Sicilian black bee honey, seasalt of Trapani, red garlic from Nubia, Vastedda cheese from Valle del Belice, black porc from Nebrodi, etc). You can taste different rustic appetizers (olives, panelle, caponata, cheese, cold cuts and other specialities) our "busiate", fresh typical hand-made pasta of Trapani area; main corses with meat choice; side dishes with vegetables from our crops. New entry in our menu: Pizza! Slow leavening (24h), "Antichi Grani Siciliani" biological flour and others local biological flour (Molini del Ponte from Castelvetrano) for a crisp and tasting pizza of choice.

This place was recommended by friends Italian who had stayed here before, in particular for the food. Valentina was wonderful, she assisted us with our reservation. Federica, who is usually at the 'reception' starts out chilly and once you get to know her, she is sweet and kind. Giuseppe and his wife are wonderful hosts, kind and knowledgeable. In particular this place has a wonderful selection of wines, and Giuseppe and Andrea know them all. Sergio was a delightful young man, always helpful and kind.

The family atmosphere, the location, and the food made this an ideal place to use as our base while in the area.

The room, be sure to get the 'sea view 'side, it makes a difference as the room itself is underwhelming, Clean and comfortable and overprices for what they are in themselves. As well, as indicated here, the breakfast is also underwhelming, though in our 3 weeks it was one of the few places that even offered breakfast.

We ate diner there every night and the cost of the meals and wine somehow compensated for the cost of the room. Overall, we would return for the people, the food, and the wine.

We spent 2 weeks traveling around Sicily and this was our favorite B&B! The property is lovely with beautiful gardens. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. We liked the outside table and chairs and sat out there often. There was a distant sea view. We ate in their restaurant for breakfast and dinner. All was excellent. Everything is grown on the farm. The real stars of this B&B is the staff who were very helpful answering our requests, handling the laundry, cleaning our room and serving our meals. The location is off a main road and near other main roads but it is out in the country.

The location is marvellous for those who appreciate Mother Nature. The view is breathtaking. The food was authentic and delicious and our waiter Andrea was the best ever, attentive friendly competent and sincere. What else do do you need to make a perfect dinner?

Stayed here for 4 nights on a half board basis. Very peaceful setting in the countryside, with distant sea views. For dinner, the food is abundant and delicious. The personnel were very nice and willing to accommodate our requests. The pool area is nice, especially during the weekdays when there are very few people in the area. All in all, a stay to remember.

Thank you for the reviews,we are happy you appreciated our staff! In our Agriturismo you can enojoy the traditional sicilian welcome (food and habbits). We are quoted on many famouse magazines "Osterie d'Italia", Slow Food from 2002; "Ristoranti d'Italia" - Gambero Rosso 2017-2018. We use the product for our farm and excellent products from Sicily (pistachio from Bronte, black pork from Nebrodi, Vastedda cheese from Belìce, red garlic from Nubia, salt of Trapani, almonds from Noto, etc). Pizza is not the classic you can find every where: we use ancient sicilian flour (Our farm produce Tumminia and Senatore Cappelli), slow leavining (24h) and Trapani traditional recipe.

This was the worst place we stayed in Sicily. The walls were so thin in the room we heard the people next door snoring and arguing and whatever. The shower leaked and flooded the bathroom floor. Every day our towels were folded onto our bed after we hung them up to dry but the towels weren't changed and we had damp towels everyday because they folded our used wet ones without letting them dry. The rooms were stuffy but we couldn't open the windows because there were too many flies and bees outside the room. My jean jacket was stolen there after I forgot it in the restaurant on the back of my chair. When I went back to retrieve it, they said they didn't have it. They are both liars and thieves. They also tried to charge us 10 euros more than what they had confirmed to me in an email. Luckily I had the original email with me and showed them they had the price wrong so they honoured the price they gave me originally. My other experiences in Sicily were wonderful. Stay away from this place.

We had no reason to stole your jacket. We use tou change your towels every day only if you let them on the floor. Agriturismo is in the countryside, so it's normal we have flies and bees around here. Mistakes can uppen, but when we discuss them, then everything is ok. We apologise your holiday here didn't like you, but we guess next time you'll well with us. Weìill offer you a dinner if you come in Trapani again.

Brilliant it was too! Fabulous local veg in the caponata; great pork from their farm, delicately flavoured cous cous and beautiful tomatoes with capers. All followed by cassatella and washed down with local red and sparkling water. Best and cheapest lunch on trip!

When traveling through Sicily you'll find many opportunities to stay at B & B locations. This particular location is about 20 minutes away from Trapani. Which isn't that far of a drive. Just make sure you time your visit to the city correctly or you'll be driving into a ghost town. Most shops and restaurants close between 2 and 3pm.

This location is well established. They have several rooms plus a restaurant. It's a pretty big operation. It feels more like a motel and less of a quiet B & B. The pool area is very nice. When we checked in we were told the pool closes at 7pm which seemed like an odd time considering we were in the middle of no where and the pool wasn't even near any of the rooms. Then I realized why this early closing was happening. The staff was setting up for a private party next to the pool. That is never a good feeling especially when you are a guest and you booked a room to enjoy the pool.

The mattress was probably the softest mattress in all of Sicily. It was a nice change from sleeping on rock hard mattresses. The air conditioner in our room wasn't working very good. I had to mess with the controller a lot until I finally got it blowing some cool air. There were also a lot of flies in our room. I had to kill a bunch of them myself. It was really annoying. I'm not sure how that can be fixed but it was not enjoyable. In our three week stay traveling around Sicily this was the only place we encountered a fly issue.

We had dinner in the restaurant. It's a great view for sunset. The evening sky lit up like fire. The food was just okay. I was actually a little let down. It was kind of the first underwhelming meal we've had in the last 10 days of traveling. I'd recommend the free house made bread with there house made olive oil. I'd also recommend the Gnocchi di pane di tumminia al pistachio di Bronte and the bbq chicken. Out of all the things we ordered these were delicious. The pork chop was over cooked. The veal isn't really veal and was chewy with a lot of fat. It was a very tough piece of beef. The sausage was good and dense but dry and over cooked. The house made pasta was okay and the tablespoon of red sauce was not enough to even cover it. Luckily I had the bottle of olive oil on the table to make my pasta taste good. The team of waiters were good but they kept trying to take our dishes away without asking. I finally had them trained by the end of dinner. They would actually ask, "Can I take your dish now?" I was impressed because you can't change a Sicilian.

Breakfast was okay. You had to cut your own salami and bread with the dullest knife in the world. It was like a culinary challenge. If you could cut it, then you could eat it. There were some definite health violations with everyone touching the bread and meat. If you wanted orange juice you had to squeeze it yourself. We definitely had to work for our breakfast.

We stayed at many B&B's in Sicily and the breakfast here was our least favorite. It didn't feel special. We also didn't care for the room. It was very dark and the lack of air conditioning made the room uncomfortable. We couldn't even open the window because our screen had a whole in it. We already had a room full of flies and I didn't want to let more in. We would definitely not come back to this location.

We stayed there as 2 families, during 5 nights. The rooms were big enough for the 5 of us, with air conditioning, separate room for the kids and a fridge. Breakfast was great, with fresh oranges for juice, every morning. The restaurant was serving typical Sicilian food at very reasonable price. The swimming pool was big and clean, though closing as early as 6.30pm. Indeed, there were animations, such as birthdays or weddings, every night. Hence better to take rooms far from the reception, such as room 1. Staff was very friendly, especially Clerisse, who was always smiling and helpful. There was also a spa, with sauna/hammam and treatments, again at good quality/price ratio. All in all, great place to stay and to warmly recommend !

I selected this place because it was close but not too close to the airport and convenient for Trapani. It was superb value. Providing you make allowances for the fact that this is not a hotel and therefore some elements are necessarily scruffy given the working environment, it is very attractive with nicely laid out well kept gardens and a very pleasant decent sized swimming pool. My initial welcome was a little cool (but that was largely due to my lack of Italian) although I did not experience any 'love-making in reception. However, once through the initial introduction the staff/owners? were most friendly and helpful, particularly the gentleman who runs the restaurant.
The food was not quite as good as I anticipated but was more than acceptable. I had not booked demi pension but was charged it and was amazed how cheap my bill was when I came to pay it. The only conceivable downside was my bed which was a little wonky, but otherwise my bedroom and facilities were acceptable and clean.
Providing you are not an American expecting fawning luxery this is an excellent place to stay for a relaxing few days away from the bustle of life. The only possible distraction is the shooting range behind the establishment but this is more than compensated for by the view over the sea and the Egadi islands as well as Erice and its mountain behind the hotel.
Highly recommended.
